I would say we must take it as pinch of salt until no govt sources say anything
Moreover they must be foolish to go towards tejas when us have cleared f-16 for them
It's just writer's fantasy

We don' have a proper name for the products of LCH and LUH programs and we are already Hawking in the international market without a name and brand!

India's Tejas is being considered as the top contender in Malaysian Air Force Light combat aircraft competition.
India has offered MRO facility to Malaysia along with spares and maintenance of Malaysian Sukhois.

This is a done deal now as no other country can service Russian fighters due to caatsa and other sanction as no one will be able to deal with Russia but India produces most of the spare for su30mki in India at HAL facilities and has access to Russian origin spares too. So no one can compete with India now.. 😊😊

Why would anyone seriously consider selling Tejas aircraft to Malaysia which by the way is not a friendly country? Just because their leader has changed doesn't mean they are now all cozy with India. I am pretty sure the Pakis will be given unlimited access behind the scenes if Malaysia has the Jet in their possession.

Business is Business. Superpowers like USA, Soviet Union sells weapons to everyone. If we are strive to be them then we need to do business. All this will considered in the Exports and boost our economy.

Anyways the Malaysian variant may have Malaysia specific components. Our Tejas will have Indian specific components.

getting a country within "your sphere of influece" is a long game, takes years/decades
Japan/USA were at war not long ago
EU countries hated each other not long ago

Also, if Malaysia was not a friendly country, why are they even considering the Tejas in their Air forces? they could have gone to US/China (they have more problems with China in SCS than they have with us) - (btw, the JF-17 loses out precisely because of that issue)

If the deal is signed, how long will it take to deliver? We seriously need to first fulfill our airforce orders.
