At 02:52.
Good of the new ISRO chairman to clear up that he is talking about financial year. Too much confusion ensues otherwise. When they say late 2023 or early 2024, its because they think in terms of financial year while we think in terms of Gregorian year (nobody uses Vikram Samvat unless its for festivals :sad1:).

Dr Somnath also cleared up that the new naming convention of GSLV MkIII -> LVM-3 is to ensure that LVM-3 is looked at as the separate launch vehicle that it is, instead of being looked at as an evolution of the GSLV Mk1 and Mk2. He also clarified that there is no GSLV Mk1 and Mk2 now, its only GSLV. So another change in naming convention.

BTW, this WION correspondent needs to get better at rocket launch coverage. Couldn't see the rocket because of his face and the camera being out of focus. And when he said "you can hear the boom of S200 motors behind me", only thing I could hear was his voice booming on the mic because he was too close and blasting his breath on it.

My suggestion to fellow isro enthusiastics don't believe any date or deadline unless you see a NOTAM for rocket launch

We can assume a minister/official's statement comfortably for a tentative timeline though. Isn't it?
] It was proven wrong in case of sslv in past so i don't know better look for NOTAM
any way how many of us know how to look for NOTAM?
