CE20 Cryogenic Engine for the next mission of LVM 3 tested for acceptance
The flight acceptance hot test of a CE-20 engine is successfully carried out for a duration of 25 s in the High Altitude Test facility of ISRO Propulsion Complex at Mahendragiri on October 28, 2022. This engine is earmarked for the LVM3-M3 mission identified for the launch of the next set of 36 numbers of OneWeb India-1 satellites.
The cryogenic upper stage of the LVM3 vehicle (C25 stage) is powered by a CE-20 engine working with the LOX-LH2 propellants combination. This engine develops a nominal thrust of 186.36 kN in vacuum.
The major objectives of the flight acceptance test were to confirm the integrity of the hardware, assessment of subsystems' performance and tune the engine for meeting the mission requirements parameters for engine tuning for flight operation. Analysis of test data confirmed the satisfactory performance of the engine systems. This engine will be assembled to the C25 flight stage being integrated for the LVM3 M3 vehicle.

OneWeb to launch 36 satellites with ISRO in final launch to complete constellation & enable global service
*** MEDIA ADVISORY ***
What:
OneWeb, the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications company, will now target its launch of 36 satellites with ISRO for no earlier than 26 March 2023. This launch, taking place from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India, will be OneWeb’s eighteenth launch to-date and its third this year, completing its first generation LEO constellation, and enabling the company to initiate global coverage in 2023.
Why:
This launch will add another 36 satellites to OneWeb’s LEO satellite fleet which forms part of its first generation constellation, delivering wholesale connectivity for its partners. By completing the constellation, OneWeb is taking a pivotal step forward in delivering global coverage.
This mission marks OneWeb’s second satellite deployment from India, highlighting the collaboration between the UK and Indian space industries. From Ladakh to Kanyakumari and Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh, OneWeb will bring secured solutions not only to enterprises but also to towns, villages, municipalities and schools, including the hardest-to-reach areas across the country.
OneWeb already has connectivity solutions active today in key geographies across the globe and is bringing new areas online by partnering with leading providers including VEON, Orange, Galaxy Broadband, Paratus, Telespazio, and more.
When:
The launch is scheduled to take place no earlier than 26 March 2023 at 11:30pm ET / 3:30pm GMT / 9:00am IST
Where:
The launch will take place from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India and will be conducted by NSIL, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
How to watch:
Livestream available on YouTube and social media channels.

LVM3-M3 / OneWeb India-2 MissionHome

Mar 16, 2023
ISRO has geared up for the launch of LVM3-M3/OneWeb India-2 mission is scheduled soon from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The mission would be similar to LVM3-M2/OneWeb India-1 mission that took place on October 23, 2022.

This is a dedicated commercial mission through NSIL. It intends to place a total of 36 OneWeb Gen-1 satellites totalling about 5,805 kg into to 450 km circular Low Earth Orbit with an inclination of 87.4°.

This will be the sixth flight of LVM3. The LVM3 launch vehicle is realized with complete indigenized technology and had five consecutive successful missions, including the Chandrayaan-2 mission and OneWeb India-1 mission. It is a three stage vehicle with two S200 solid motors, a L110 liquid stage and a C25 cryogenic stage. This 43.5 m tall vehicle has a lift-off mass of 643 t. The cryo stage is uniquely designed to orient and re-orient in orthogonal direction to meet the customer requirements of injecting satellites precisely and with a gap to avoid collision. The LVM3-M3 is realized in a short span of time on a demand-driven basis to meet the user's timeline.

OneWeb Gen-1 satellites utilize a bent-pipe technology approach to offer communication in Ku-band and Ku-bands. The satellites provide connectivity to enterprises, towns, villages, municipalities and schools, including the hardest-to- reach areas across the length and breadth of India.
