Nice thinking, but you forget that the P&W on the F35 is its intended production engine. That's why stealth measures have been undertaken on the engine as well as the fuselage. On the J20, WS10S is used, and its just a place-holder, that's why stealth saw-tooth shaping is on the fuselage alone. Look again.

People here tend to confuse size and stealth. Something being bigger doesn't necessarily mean a bigger RCS. By that reasoning, a B2 couldn't be stealthier than an F16 or F35, or an F22 stealthier than the F35, but they are.

The J20 can be as large as its designers deem necessary, as long as its stealth shaping is in order, s'all guuuuuuuuuuud!

J20 is shorter than Su27, it's the tiny size tail wings and short width main wings make all of you think it's a long plane.
