INS Shivalik Wins 'Oscars Of The Fleet' - Trophies In The Best Ship, Best Gunnery & Best Surface-To-Air Missile Categories, Of The Year

As INS Shivalik nears her fourth anniversary on Apr 29th (was commissioned in 2010), she won the Best Ship of the year, along with Best Gunnery and Surface-to-air missile. She was scheduled to participate in the Chinese PLAN International Fleet Review,at the eastern Chinese port of Qingdao on April 23-24 in connection with People's Liberation Army Navy's 65th founding anniversary. This event has been cancelled due to the missing plane MH370

Captain Satish Uniyal accepted the trophy for the ship.

These awards are judged on the consistent performance throughout the year. These are announced at Command level, but decided by the Fleet (as they watch and monitor the entire year). About 14 trophies are announced in as many categories.

Its also considered the Oscars of the Fleet.

it not even the whole navy... it only for Eastern naval command warship in the competition, and only ENC confers the title..
