Why you people have habit of overlooking relevant posts ?
Vande Bharat is not a failure. On routes where it's running it has full/healthy ridership. People feel proud to travel in it and click selfies with it. With time more and more trains will be introduced reducing the travel time between major commercial centres.

This comes amid protracted delays in issuing visas to Chinese citizens and government probes into Chinese companies operating in India.
In submissions to various ministries, the electronics manufacturing industry said India has also lost out on a $10 billion ( ₹83,550 crore) export opportunity besides $2 billion in value addition loss, according to the report.
According to industry executives, 4,000-5,000 visa applications of Chinese executives are currently awaiting government go-ahead, hindering the Indian electronics manufacturing industry’s expansion plans.
“Our Domestic Value Addition (DVA) plan has been impacted severely. When the PLI (Production Linked Incentive) scheme for mobiles was launched (in 2020-21), it was expected that the supply chain would shift from China. But due to this standoff and Press Note 3 (mandating greater scrutiny of investments from countries sharing land border with India), shifting of the supply chain has got severely curtailed,” ICEA said.
He added that while India has offset several disadvantages and become more competitive, it is still suffering a new form of disadvantage against nations like Vietnam, Malaysia, and Mexico which have free access to capital, technology and skills from China.

Industry executives said even Chinese nationals are apprehensive of coming to India, fearing arrests and interrogations. “If there is a requirement of 50 engineers to come to India to help set up a factory, only 10 or so are willing to come,” an industry executive told the Economic Times, on condition of anonymity.
For instance, a large Chinese manufacturer had committed to build a plant in India to make Apple iPads, but eventually shifted to Vietnam where it is currently producing $8-10 billion ( ₹66,840 - 83,550 crore) worth of iPads per year, according to the report.
Seems like dalas crying..to me . You folks may have other opinions.

Where's their older plant located? One that was transferred to Bhagwati (Micromax)??
Yes it is rumoured but not sold yet. It is in Noida too. That being said the ret@rds at Micromax do not deserve to get the plant, especially after what they pulled all through the early 2010s. Vivo should be allowed to continue operations since they built up the plants in the first place.

No the current Visa policy stinks of low iq babus trying to act smart. It is simply hurting our own companies because a large amount of machinery/equipment is produced in China and most indian companies are dependent on them. Capex across the board has been affected by this as technicians are unable to come over. Remember, even existing machinery will break down and will require technician support, and if they are PRCs, the machinery will just be a waste metal lying around. On top of that cheenis control the entire EMS supply chain. If India wants to rise in this sector, you will need all the help you can get. Many cheeni companies looking to set up plants here have moved to Vietnam or Thailand due to Visa restrictions. All these visa jumlas can be pulled after setting up a vertically integrated indigenous supply chain, not before.

Even worse are existing plants rotting due to the issue when investment is already done. I think this handle is telling the truth, because Andhra's electronic exports have not risen as much compared to Tamil Nadu, and these were the big ticket EMS investments bagged by the previous govt.

The Government of India has issued notification to give effect to the provisions of new Postal Law - The Post Office Act, 2023. The Post Office Act, 2023 has been enacted today. The Act aims to create a simple legislative framework, for delivery of citizen centric services and benefits of Government schemes upto the last mile, enhancing ease of living. The exclusive privilege of collecting, processing and delivering of letters granted to the Post Office previously, has been discontinued. In order to promote “Maximum Governance and Minimum Government”, no penal provisions have been prescribed in the Post Office Act, 2023, which comes into force today. The newly enacted Postal law provides a framework for prescribing standards for addressing of the items, address identifiers and usage of postcodes: India Post

Ding ding, finally someone calls this out. If you read financial reports, you will realise that majority of companies wait until their utilization hits ~90% before embarking on expansion, which in most cases will expand capacity by 25%. Most expansions are usually funded using internal funds rather than long term debt, as such they are small in size. This is one of the reasons why Indian companies do not have the scale to compete with the export market. One of the reasons is due to high interest rates for loans, and the lack of financing venues available. The debt crisis in the late 2000s led to this current mess. Modi 3.0 needs to find ways to get private capex rising again.
