I am no fan of racist scumbags of Economist or their cousins like BBC or Nytimes. But comparing satellite night time data and reported GDP is kind of good way to ascertain whether a country is over stating it's GDP.

It's funny that article assumes west reports GDP figures accurately. I don't know how they arrived at that figure of $7 Trillion for China. But I think it's fairly obvious Chinese are not reporting correct GDP figures. This has been known for a long time now. How much they have fudged the data with respect to GDP is a million dollar question. GDP calculations vary from country to country depending on what industries does a country have, tax collections, electricity consumption, steel production, exports etc. It will be difficult to estimate how much data fudging is going on just with satellite data.

However any country which overstates it's GDP even by 10% they will be in a world of pain in the future when they discover the truth. Most spending happens as a percentage of GDP, if you overstate it then you will be spending more. This will have dire consequences for future generations as they will be one who have to pick up the tab for the mistakes of previous generation.

LoL , THis satellite data reflects population density.. otherwise I dont know in which world Bihar has more GDP than Madhya Pradesh.

The In line with ‘Make in India’, the Government’s flagship program, Mumbai-based PharmNXT Biotech today launched its first integrated manufacturing unit in Pune to provide single use bioprocessing solutions. The facility has been launched to address the challenges of biologics manufacturing in the country. The manufacturing unit will be called PharmNXT ekuse and is spread over 4,00,000 Sq. Ft.

The new facility was launched at the PharmNXT Biotech LLP, the company’s facility in Chakan, Pune, in the presence of eminent leaders from the Indian biopharma fraternity. The Single-use bioprocessing has recently experienced tremendous growth in biopharmaceutical manufacturing market share. It has also enjoyed technological advances ranging from material properties to implementation of Industry 4.0. It is a relatively new concept in the production of biopharmaceuticals, but is cost-effective, requires low maintenance and leads to low operational expenditures.

The Balaji Amines Investing 1,000 crores rupees in Solapur.

Balaji Amines Limited informed that it has received the Environmental Clearance and MPCB permission in the form of Consent to Operate.

The company said that the commercial production of DMC/PC and PG has commenced at the company’s newly set up plant in MIDC, Chincholi, Solapur with effect from September 26, 2022.

With this, the company’s annual capacity will be 15,000 MTPA each for Di-methyl Carbonate DMC /Propylene Carbonate PC and Propylene Glycol PG.
