Yes, DEFENCE-360 said a while back, that these shipments of HCQs to US and to various other countries were resumed based on some preconditions which weren't/still aren't made public for obvious reasons. In simple words, USFDA and it's crony - Big Pharma - got their ass handed to them by the GoI...….more skeletons will tumble out of the closet in coming days.USFDA clears four Indian manufacturing plants in 10 days

It's based on the formal sector, but if one were take into account the informal sector, i think we might be in the negative growth territory.#IMF cuts India's 2020 GDP growth rate to 1.9%.
This is a very low number.
And yet it is the world's highest.
[China follows, with a growth of 1.2%.]
This crisis hasn't destroyed our industrial capacity but merely halted it. Which means there can be a very fast recovery of production.#IMF cuts India's 2020 GDP growth rate to 1.9%.

Probably the key reason is that 70% of our GDP is based on consumption economy. This crisis hasn't destroyed our industrial capacity but merely halted it. Which means there can be a very fast recovery of production.
For example agriculture never stopped and pharma sectors is increasing production right now.
Yup external sector could be affected badly due to demand drop in advanced economy. But internal economy will spring back faster.Probably the key reason is that 70% of our GDP is based on consumption economy.
Majority of our imports are oil & electronics, will have minimal impact because import cost of both these items be reduced for atleast 6 months.
Whatever he said is truth. --- America is all about America --- White America to be precise. :biggrin2: --- Petrodollar and white privilege has given them unimaginable power. --- we should bargain for best deal for ourselfs. --- make sure to have better relations with both countries but prioritise greater relations with America and west at all cost. --- they offer us more in long run than China.

Like Jayashankar had stated, India's Foreign Policy was crafted when we were a weak nation. He told that India had identified its friends and enemies and all feature policies shall be made considering friends and Enemies in the mind. India is relatively a powerful Nation now. we need to redefine our foreign policies in view of our grown strength. we shall soon become world's third largest economy in nominal term and become a powerful Nation in military as well. So the policies which we made when we were weak are outdated. New policies need to be made in view of our grown strength and growing strength in in medium and long term. What we need to do is to choose our allies of powerful Nation but we should do hard bargain and not allow arm twisting of nation like America. like we did in the case of hydroxychloroquine export , we need to negotiate each and every deal like we negotiated with USA on lifting the ban on our pharmaceutical companies. Like that each and every transaction should be hardly negotiated. we should not mind if some negotiations are failed but we should not allow arm twisting. Like Dobhal had said once, India hit bellow its weight. We need to increase our weight and hit proportionally.
