ARMY BUSTS ULFA(I) RECRUITMENT RACKET IN UPPER ASSAM, RESCUES 7 MINORS

Troops of #IndianArmy in joint operation with #assampolice busted a recruitment racket of ULFA(I) and rescued seven minors from six districts of Upper Assam on 21- 22 April 2020. The security forces also apprehend four cadres and six OGWs belonging to the proscribed group.
Security Forces dealt a major blow to recruitment nexus operated through social media profiles. The Army reunited the misguided minors with their families thereby securing their future. The apprehended cadres and OGWs have been handed over to Assam police for further investigations.

FIVE HARDCORE ULFA (I) CADRES APPREHENDED IN ASSAM

Based on Intelligence inputs a joint operation was carried out by the #IndianArmy and #assampolice in which five cadres of ULFA(I) were apprehended in Charaideo District on 22 Apr. The recoveries included three Assault Rifles MQ 81 with 8 magazines and approx 323 live rounds as also 2 Pistols and a cache of explosives & other war like stores.
