Interesting. Popular Mechanics just did an article on this monster. This machine gun has been in use for over 70 years! Minimal updates have been made to the basic design. The US military uses this weapon on the ground, on the infantry carriers and even gets mounted on the tanks.

In the last 24 hrs, #AssamRifles in Manipur has recovered Gold and contraband items worth Rs 3.24 Cr in three separate operations. Recoveries included 30000 WIY tablets costing approx Rs 90L that were being transported from Moreh to Tegnopaul, five Gold bricks worth approx Rs 1.9Cr from a hideout near Moreh and drugs worth Rs 43.68L from a woman Drug Peddler at Pallel. All apprehendees along with the recovered items have been handed over to Police for further investigations.
