The Encounter which had started in the night of 25th May when 20 JAT, Ambushed the group near the Eagle post in Tanghdhar based on credible intelligence report from across the LoC, ended by 27th May morning when the fifth infiltrator's body was recovered.
Five 7.62 mm AK-47 rifles, one pistol with magazine, eight rounds, carts 7.62 mm AK-47 (546), one UBGL, six grenade UBGL, nine hand grenades and other equipment including medicine and food items were also recovered from the dead terrorists.
Now two families from South Kashmir are claiming two of the dead terrorists are their own, Sheeraz Ahmad Sheikh of Lajoora Pulwama, missing since September 2017 and Mudasir Ahmad of Parigam Kulgam, missing since July 2016. Hence the buried bodies will have to be dug up for DNA tests by J&K Police.
Hooris will have to wait for now, till the DNA test is over.
