2) relative large distance between them and conflict zones across the world
3) they have such awful climate that they are bored sitting indoors, so they invent activities to keep themselves busy.

Try to understand the meaning of the sentence please. Besides, I have as much respect for Ikhwans as I have for army men, they were a force to be reckoned with during the late 90s and early 2000s when they were responsible for Intel gathering and slaughtering the pigs wholesale. EJ influence on Prabhakaran started way before Norway. Anton Balasingham, a son of a Hindu priest and a Christian mother (no prizes for guessing what faith he chose) was the mentor and guide of Prabhakaran. It was during his time that the concept of "burying" LTTE cadres began and also the drive to change the names of LTTE cadres that were "too Sanskrit".

Norway as usual is fishing in troubled waters. I suspect this was a private initiative and hope GoI reads the riot act.

Yep! Siachen is a totally different world altogether. But one gets used to it after a few days. High altitude areas like Nathula, Thegu etc in Sikkim at over 14,000 ft were better. In spare time, playing tennis and other sports at that altitude and riding Haflingers was fun! A six hole golf course was there too!! Tried playing golf while snowing??? High Altitude areas like Bum La etc in Arunachal were tough due to the crappy and adverse weather conditions throughout the year.
