Some people say if the bjp can't even protect its own members, how can it protect the nation? Valid question. But the real problem is our institutions suck, so unless Modi works hard for another five years to clean up our institutions, even god cannot us.

Some people say Congies couldnt save two of their PMs, how will it protect the nation? Valid question.

Right - and the solution is to vote in the Congress - the very mother of all these terrorist scum. Na hota Nehru na hota ye sab jhanjhat. Godse's aim was wrong.

Indian Army stages flag march in Kishtwar, situation tense but under control, say officials

Srinagar: The Indian Army staged a flag march in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar town after curfew was imposed following the killings of senior BJP leader and his brother by unknown gunmen Thursday night, officials said Friday, PTI reported.

District Magistrate Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana told PTI the situation was tense but under control.

“The Army staged a flag march in Kishtwar town in order to maintain law and order,” Rana told PTI.

He said the curfew, which was imposed in the town late night Thursday, was strictly in place and additional armed forces’ personnel were deployed in sensitive areas of the town.

Rana said there were no reports of any untoward incidents.

SSP Kishtwar Rajinder Gupta said a hunt was launched to track down those involved in the case.

NIA action against Aga Syed Hassan nothing but a witch hunt: Mehbooba

‘GOI must see futility of its muscular policies, stop treating everyone as criminal in Kashmir’

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday expressed disappointment over summoning of revered Shia cleric Aga Syed Hassan Al Mousvi by the NIA.

The PDP chief stated that it is high time that Government of India sees the futility of its muscular policies and not to treat every body as a criminal in Kashmir. She added that Aga Syed Hassan is a respected and revered religious leader and that it is disappointing that NIA is now busy issuing summons to the people of moral courage and mental calibre.

“The entire process now looks nothing less than a witch hunt and such steps instead of helping to find solution to the problems confronting the state, will further complicate the situation,” Mehbooba Mufti said.

Protestors in Kashmir took to the streets to protest against the recent summon by National Investigation Agency (NIA) to senior Hurriyat leader and president Anjuman-e-Sharie- Shian Aga Syed Hassan Almosvi Alsafvi directing him to appear before the agency today.

The agency had conducted a raid at the residence of Agha Syed Hassan in central Kashmir’s Budgam district in September 2017 in connection with funding case. NIA is investigating the funding case in Kashmir registered on May 30 last year.

“National Investigating Agency has registered a case vide number RC-10/2017/NIA/DLI. It appears that you are acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case. You are hereby directed to appear before the Agency on November 2, 2018 at 10 am at Police Officers Mess, Humhama Srinagar in connection with the investigation of the case,” read the letter dispatched by NIA to Aga Syed Hassan.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown in being observed in this district, including Magam. All shops, offices, business establishments and petrol pumps in the twin towns remained closed.

Many people from Kashmir including resistance leaders have already been arrested by the investigation agency in connection with the case and have been lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi.

In May, 2018, after the court hearings of Kashmiris booked under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 and money laundering offences by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act, a Delhi High Court administrative order had transferred the case from the court of Additional Sessions Judge Justice Tarun Sehrawat to District and Sessions Judge (DSJ) Poonam A Bamba.

The families of the incarcerated Hurriyat leaders feel that with the transfer, the case status is back a square one.

In September, Independent Jammu and Kashmir MLA, Sheikh Abdul Rasheed, popularly known as Engineer Rasheed, was summoned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), for questioning in a case related to the “funding of terror activities” in the Valley, officials said on Thursday.

In October, United Jihad Council Chief Syed Salahuddin’s son Shahid Yousuf was sent to a seven day NIA custody by a court in New Delhi.

Yousuf was arrested by the NIA and being accused of receiving money from his father in 2011.

On November 1, judicial remand of Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Asiya Andrabi, its secretary general Nahida Nasreen and its spokesperson Fahmeeda Sofi which ended was extended.

NIA on Tuesday also raided the house of a prominent businessman in Lal Bazaar area of Srinagar.

The alleged terror funding case involves Altaf Ahmad Shah, alias Altaf Fantosh, son-in-law of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Watali and photojournalist Kamran Yusuf along with nine other accused.

Kamran Yousuf has been given bail, along with one other accused, Javed Bhat, due to lack of evidences.

The areas that are being shut down by protestors are basically the turfs that they controlled. The government is establishing its writ on its territory. Good move.

Indian strategy was to 'allow' certain strongmen to unofficially control certain areas the decade after the 90's turmoil. In the greed to gain maximum revenues from their turf, these strongmen, in turn, protected their turf (prevented gang wars, ratted out trouble makers to intel agencies and kept trade and tourism functioning in general). Now that it has stabilized, the government is arresting them for their past crimes. They enjoyed their political hafta-vasooli for decades, now it's time to foot the bill. The entire Mufti family owes its riches to Indian intel agencies. They started off as a terror outfit and then got co-opted by the agencies into active politics, to dilute the influence of the Abdullahs. Now we are propping up people from Jammu to dilute Muftis. It's natural for Mehbooba to cry foul at the loss of her turf.

According new intel reports, ISI has decided to divide responsibily among Jihadi groups.

JeM: Offensive attacks. Will consist of 2/3rds Pakistanis and 1/3rd locals.l as members.

LeT: Hit and run, target killings. Will have 1/3rd Pakis and rest locals.

HM: Same as above but almost entirely local and thus will be used as a face of militancy.

Al Badr: Training. Almost all training programs which previously used to be in hands of different groups have been handed over to Al Badrs chief Bakht Zameen.

what is the difference from before in terms of composition of the groups? JeM was always heavily recruited from Pak Punjab, HM and Let recruited more from Kashmir.

HERE IT IS--

There are many instances when Para SF and Pakistani SSG Commandos fought against each other. I will cite some of the incidents where they engaged each other :

2017 Surgical Strikes : No you didn't read it wrong. Indian army Special Forces once again did a surgical strike back in 2017 back in the month of December. In this surgical strike , 9 Para SF and Ghataks of 2 Sikh were involved. Though it is not yet revealed that they engaged Pakistani SSG elements there , atleast one SSG Commando named Yasin was killed. Here is his pic:

The raid was carried out in Rakhchakri area of Rawalkot District in Pakistan and 7 confirmed kills were made.

1999 Kargil War : SSG elements were inducted to hold up high positions against Indian troopers. SSG was also involved in supporting Pakistani regulars during retreat and evacuating Pakistani casualties. Capt Ammar Hussain, SSG, Sitara E Jurrat (P) was killed by Indian Para SF during Battle for Tiger Hill in one such operation.

1971 Indo-Pak War : In 1971 , India dispatched the Special Frontier Force in East Pakistan. At Chittagong 2nd commando battalion of SSG was based and SFF who are know famously known as the "Phantoms of Chittagong" were successful in eliminating them completely as they swept and the hills and the valleys with the Pakistanis which housed them.

Even now Pakistani SSG are now forming the part of the infamous BAT aka Border Action Teams who have been involved in mutilating Indian Jawans. 9 Para SF and 4 Para SF are taking special care of these BAT teams now eliminating them at LoC.

Even Indian Infantry Soldiers have been engaging SSG head on. Subedar (R) Bana Singh and his team killed 6 Pakistani SSG soldiers, 3 in hand to hand combat during Op.Rajiv in 1987 at Siachen. Subedar Atta Muhammad 3rd. Coy Shaheen SSG was killed and few of the injured fell off or jumped off the cliff. For this bravery Subedar Atta Mohammed was posthumously awarded one of Pakistani highest military award Sitara E Jurrat.

Even after that few of the Para SF have immense respect for their Pakistani counterparts. They regard them no lesser in capabilities and skills and don't underestimate their counterparts and arch-nemesis especially. That is due to the professional approach which is taught in Indian Armed Forces.

yes that was the article i read. i dont know why IA is needlessly secretive about its operations. naturally, you dont want to reveal all the operational details but certainly you need to release critical information that can help counter pakistan's propaganda.
