Reading last few pages led me to conclusion that ceasefire is more of a trap. Govt shows its big heart and secular credentials get proven. Hurriyat will remain quiet as they cannot openly support a Hindu nationalist Govt. Terror groups if break the rules, get screwed, if not army gets to keep an eyes on them. Its like Heads I win, Tails u lose scenario.

• An internal CRPF report accessed by Republic TV has asked a vital question of the unilateral ceasefire that has been announced in J&K during Ramzan

On the day that the Government of India declared a unilateral ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir and asked security forces to not launch any anti-terror security operations during the month of Ramzan, Republic TV has accessed an internal report of the CRPF prepared by a DIG-level officer in Jammu and Kashmir this month.

The internal report of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) says that 276 personnel of the CRPF have sustained injuries from January to April in stone pelting incidents. Many of them have been critically injured.

Here are the specifics:

The CRPF has sufficient anti-riot gear equipment but may require additional procurement of equipment to deal with the situation.

How will a unilateral Ramzan ceasefire bring to an end stone-pelting by mobsters during security operations and shutdowns which have led to critical injuries to CRPF and J&K Police Jawans?

5 freedom fighters killed in the process. It was a massive attack with waves of blasts followed by gunfire. It appears that the ISI has tightly controlled all images/videos from being published. Not a single picture/video is out in any news channel.

Official figures reveal that nearly 251 weapons have been looted by terrorists from security forces in the last three years. At least 76 weapons were later recovered by the forces. At least 90 accused have been arrested so far in these cases.

Some bureaucrat from South Block thought 'let's use this Ramzan to score some hearts and minds'. It's not like all people of Kashmir are going to keep track of all the operations going on in the entire state. Whenever an operation happens, we can say 'well, they broke the ceasefire first'.

This Ramazan drama has been happening since many years now. They even extended the goodwill to Pakistan but then Pakistan started firing first and India retaliated. Doval had mentioned about it in a meeting here :
