It seems you are correct. Stone Pelters feel afraid to come our during night. They may be shot dead in darkness by army thinking they are terrorists. So these stone Pelters don't want to risk their life for the money they are paid.

JAMMU, Aug 2: Abu Dujana, the most wanted militant and Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) chief commander, who was gunned down by security forces in an encounter at Hakripora in Pulwama district of Kashmir yesterday, appeared to have realized in his last moments that there was nothing like jihad in Kashmir and it was only the game played by Pakistan to mislead the Kashmiri people by creating trouble.
Telephonic conversation between a security officer and Abu Dujana, which took place just few minutes before the final gunbattle of the top Pakistani militant, has made important revelations in which Dujana was heard admitting that he knew A to Z of Pakistani game and that it was no jihad in Kashmir.
The conversation, which is exclusively in possession of the Excelsior, revealed that security forces had made all out efforts to get Dujana surrendered so that he could narrate the nefarious designs of Pakistan to the Kashmiri people on jihad but Dujana refused to surrender as he had reportedly got directions from across the border that his family (in Pakistan) would be eliminated if he surrendered.
The security officer made all out attempts to get Dujana surrendered. However, Dujana despite very well knowing the game plan of Pakistan and even narrating it to the security officer refused to surrender.
“It’s not jihad. I know that. I know it’s all the game played by Pakistan. I know A to Z of the game,” Dujana is clearly heard telling the security officer, who was handling him on telephone after he was trapped in the encounter at village Hakripora in Pulwama district of Kashmir yesterday morning.
The security officer told Dujana: “unless you come out and surrender, how the common man of Kashmir will know the truth? How the people will know that Pakistan is playing the games and fooling the people of Kashmir? How long the people of Kashmir will continue to get killed for nothing?”
To this, Dujana responded: “I know”.
Sources said Dujana’s sound clearly reflected that he wanted to surrender but was under pressure from Pakistan not to do so as his family was still living there.
During the conversation, Dujana was heard congratulating the security officer for getting him.
“Today, you got me, Congrats,” he remarked. To this, the security officer told Dujana that security forces have no personal enmity with him or his colleagues and this was why he was repeatedly asking him to surrender.
“Why are you getting killed? You get ready. I will arrange your surrender,” the security officer was heard telling Dujana during the conversation.
Dujana, who had given slip to security forces a number of time, was finally trapped yesterday morning at Hakripora, Pulwama and gunned down along with his associate after he refused to surrender.

The J&K Police are in the process of writing to the Pakistan High Commission through the Ministry of External Affairs asking them to take back the body of Pakistani terrorists.

I just read the article. Where is the glorification part? From my understanding of it, the article is trying to give a human face to the Indian Army and is displaying the level of indoctrination of the jihadi. The headline seems a bit off, but other than that, what is wrong with the article?

It gives a human face to the terrorist, instead of simply declaring him as an insignificant infiltrator, the article literally narrates his whole life story like it's a lifetime achievement award. It leaves scope for people to interpret it in a way which says 'okay, he was just like us, a god fearing man, a family man, maybe he wasn't all bad...'.

The purpose of information warfare is to portray the enemy's tactical losses and moral bankrupcy. He says "sometimes our side wins, sometimes your side wins, but [the fight goes on..]". The Army has scored a win, and instead of portraying it as a win, the paper has denied us that closure, instead, they have allowed the terrorist to deliver a martyrdom speech and broadcast it to their millions of readers through the news paper to continue the fight.

Maybe I was just too surprised at the ToI for portraying the human side of Indian Army (urging him to surrender) that I did not notice this. Thanks though. But I still think that articles like these should be let out in international media as a less biased view. The terrorists words did reveal a lot of the indoctrination he went threw, but the jurno could have left out the "sometimes our sides win sometimes your" and the last line. I do agree that this should not be promoted in Indian MSM.

these india media hire very poor quality people from d grade college, so you can even see typos in articles. also many of these are leftist people born to parents who earn their living by praising leftist propaganda. and news have to sell, so they also add masala from any angle they can add.

Don't give them the benefit of doubt. They are not doing it out of ignorance or incompetence. They are actually very talented people, trained in the best colleges, who are an information warfare asset cultivated for this very purpose. Every single D class presstitute has been groomed in an A class institute the west.
