NDA is the world's first tri service training academy. It is a training institute to serve the world's 3rd largest army, 4th largest air force and 7th largest navy. Not only that, it also provides Asia’s largest military canteen – serving 2100 cadets. These cadets march into the canteen after their morning routines to be served meals that are equally serve to all. The canteen staff is trained to serve all cadets at once, within 40 minutes, with meals that are nutritious and healthy. If you thought that was all, this canteen is also a training ground to teach cadets table manners and etiquette – to turn young cadets into poised gentleman of the future.

Several youths participated in the recruitment rally for army's Jammu and Kashmir light infantry (JKLI) regimental centre at Rangreth Srinagar.
