A UFO Scientist claims it real, but not sure...is it a real picture mate:shocked:?if it's real then we must have something to defend ourselves against these "so called" aliens!
I guess it is the weather/geography of the region.
Have you guys heard that sometimes there occurs a kind of optical illusion at high altitude areas specially around north pole?
Up in the horizon, people see images of places beyond the curvature of earth, like the earth was flat. It has something to do with how light is reflected there.
They even have a name for the phenomenon that I don't recollect now.
TTSCUM,What are you talking about?
It's a Naga from Hindu mythology.
Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that the same thing is happening in Ladakh. You mean the Aurora Borealis? They are only seen in Canada, Alaska, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Russia. They cannot be seen in Ladakh.
This is how they look:
UFO: Indian army reports unusual activities over Kashmir : The Canadian National NewspaperLatest UFO sighting report from this area is more surprising than ever, and probably more credible than any other report, because it was filed by an army. On October 15, 2012, the Indian Army and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) reported UFO sightings in the Ladakh Region of Jammu and Kashmir.
This Indian Army-ITBP report is phenomenal enough even for non-believers because Indian Army and ITBP claimed to have seen at least 100 UFO sightings in a month! Most of the objects seen were coming from the Chinese administrated area, flying slowly for three to five hours, before disappearing.
This is definitely the new record for UFO Sighting numbers in a month. And the credibility of the report is very reliable, the army has filed this finding with their headquarters and with their prime ministers. The need of reporting such findings to the highest in command is very high, related to the extremely high frequency of sightings and the possibility of threat to the nations. "UFOs are not necessarily from outer space," Jayan Naikar, a reputable scientist, explained.
According to a UFO Sightings Daily report, which was already published in many international media, the military described the objects as 'luminous flying objects'. The military headquarters analyzed the evidence, to seek the possibility that the objects are illegal military surveillance devices or vehicles from another country, that can bring major threats to the country's sovereignty.
This precautionary measurement is necessary because the region has a long story of conflicts and became a matter of dispute between the two countries.
But after studying the photographic evidences, the authorities confirmed that the objects are not aerial vehicles (UAVS), drones, or low orbit satellites.
The army is has been studying this phenomenon very seriously, involving a lot of sophisticated military equipment including setting up military radar. "We can't ignore these sightings. We need to investigate the possibility that these are new (surveillance) technology," said former Indian Air Force chief, P.V. Naik.
Agencies including the Army, DRDO, NTRO and the ITBP have not yet been able to identify these luminous flying objects.
The 14 Corps, which looks after military deployment along Kargil-Leh and looks after the frontiers with China, has sent reports to the Army Headquarters about the sightings of UFOs by an ITBP unit in Thakung near the Pangong Tso Lake, Army officials said here.
Reports suggested that these yellowish spheres appear to lift off from the horizon on the Chinese side and slowly traverse the sky for three to five hours before disappearing.
They said Army had also moved a mobile ground-based radar unit and a spectrum analyser to verify the identity of the object but could not detect the object that was being tracked visually, indicating it was non-metallic.
Sources said similar reports had emerged about five-six years ago about sighting of such objects but the matter was not taken up at higher levels.
Completely Agree.:thumb: We can't get it, unless we shot that down.We should put one one unit of s300 there and try to knock one ufo down.
Then we can study it and incorporate its technology
I believe you are referring to Looming. It is very possible and the strongest contender in the list of plausible explanations.Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that the same thing is happening in Ladakh.
What I want to convey is that the Ladakh events also, could be due to a weather/geological phenomenon .. like the Aurora Borealis is.
