Don't see the point in having a rubber eyepiece on a setup with this much eye relief. Unless this scope was meant for a different platform than the 716.
Well it's an OFB product....not much hope anyway(I hope i'm wrong).

Slight correction
Different era, not platform
Yes and no.

Rubber eyepieces are essential if your platform has very little eye relief (the scope's ocular lens is very close to your aiming eye), otherwise the recoil could result in significant injury to eyes.

The SVD is a prime example, which is why the PSO-1 scope comes with rubber as standard:

Now if you say such platforms are outdated and modern rifles with full-length 12'o clock rails don't need to mount scopes that close to the eye, then yes its of a different era.

The eyepieces are usually removable though.

Indeed

And it's very common for soldiers to remove the eyepiece or poke holes in them.
The old Soviet eyepieces are notorious for there suction.

Maybe it's one scope fits all kind of set up?...one can never make sense of the OFBs thinking process.

And before that SMLE.

Ya I do realize.
It's just that the rifle doesn't have vertical grip to hold it properly while aiming.

Rest US soldiers are of different height too and Indian soldiers are chosen generally well built one except those from hilly areas who are generally short in height but strong in built.

They are just a copy of AK-47 and AR-18 Rifles respectively. Nothing serious, OFB can do the same, but you can‘t blame OFB but it’s the Army who is not interested in procuring OFB arms, and responsible is the MoD who is not reforming OFB, privatisation of OFB is a stupid choice, ISRO and DRDO are also Government organisations but are efficient organisations, OFB can do the same, but then communists are controlling every ordnance factory in India.

Okay seriously, why the heck is everyone replying with the same thing!?
"They may be tall, but we are strong"
So among all the d*ck-measuring contests, now we'll do this?

It was all about perspective.
If THE soldier (one among 1.4 million) is of shorter built then the rifle will obviously seem longer.
No one is comparing US and Indian soldiers. Both have similar physical requirements for enlisting.

Chill Dude I have merely mentioned it is due to vertical grip that he looks uncomfy that's it.

US soldiers use M4 carbine with vertical grip in general.

Rest I have only stated how the hiring is done in India. Take a nap nite.
