Is it a PT-76?is this really Indian???

Is it a PT-76?
The picture could be from the 80s. The PT-76s were actually just retired quite recently.did we have this capacity in those days, so why did nt we land Karachi or Dhaka.....
it looked like BMD-2, ya it could PT-76..
but never expected we have such capability in that old days.....
Is this BMP1!!!
PT-76 are retired in Mid and late 90s, There was no need to land in Dhaka as the whole Bangladesh is full of rivers, PT-76 was the MBT in Bangladesh War..The picture could be from the 80s. The PT-76s were actually just retired quite recently.
As for landing in Dhaka, it was extensively used in the '71 war. The PT-76s came handy in being able to quickly cross multiple rivers and huge bodies of water in former East Pakistan.
The PT-76 also saw action with Indian forces in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and 1971. Despite the PT-76 being obsolete by 1971, the superior tactics and overwhelming numbers of the Indian Army enabled it to play a vital role in defeating the Pakistani Army. In the Eastern theater the high numbers of PT-76s proved superior to the Pakistani World War II era M24 Chaffee light tanks
Amphibious Brigade use lots of BMP-1 / 2 ..Is this BMP1!!!
Looks like BMD-3(Ð‘Ð¾ÐµÐ²Ð°Ñ ÐœÐ°ÑˆÐ¸Ð½Ð° ДеÑанта)?Is this BMP1!!!

Army and Navy plan to setup a marine brigade
What about Juan Carlos I class amphibious assault ship, it's ready for STOVL operations too.San Antonio class costs Between $1,282 million and $1,923 million..
Mistral class $600 million..
Sir, India has no ambitions to capture any ones territory including that of Pakistan.....Juan Carlos could only be used "properly" if your nation is getting F-35B.
It is total 5.The Australians are buying 2X Juan Carlos at $3 billion. $1.5 billion AUS per comes nowhere close to Mistra
It is total of 2It is total 5.
The deal with Spain's Navantia has nothing to do with cost of Lockheed F-35 deal.It looks like a fighter aircraft deal, if the flyaway cost is $50 million then the contract cost of it will go upto nearly $ 70-75 million each aircraft.
$600 million...btw what was Russian total contract, awarded at what price?
Has nothing to do with nothing... $3.17 billion was the price of two ships.Total deal for Australia- Spain is for $11 B.
Which one you are talking about? The basics so far are that Indian amphibious forces will primarily defensive in nature aimed at defence of Indian Island territories. They are not expeditionary forces like Australia is contemplating, to launch and occupy someone else territory in a nation which has a beach.
What are the difference in-between this two ships as far as the use of it?India is not in a colonising mood which other countries have been for centuries together. Hence Indian amphibious force structure would be primarily defensive.
India does not covet any one's territory. Juan Carlos I class amphibious assault ship will therefore will not be utilised properly.
