Well, in a manner of speaking, the MKI is a very easy jet to fly. That is why newbies are often assigned to Su-30 squadrons. The Mig-21 is handled only by highly experienced pilots after the whole "widow maker" saga. That whole episode brought out a lot of changes within the IAF. This was/is supposedly one of them.
