BrahMos strike only; missile debris and burn marks. See satnav pics.
I say accident. Both sides have exchanged lists of nuclear sites including weapon storage ones multiple times in the past to avoid accidentally targeting them. India will not set a precedent of hitting their nuke site with a one off strike. Its just stupid.

The only time you do that is when you are going for the kill. We all know this round is about slapping Pak silly rather than killing it outright

If Brahmos were launched atleast some civvies must have seen it. I don't think puki's will let India go after missile strike. They will come out with debris of exploded missile. They will try to gain some sympathy from Indians. As usual Indians will blame GOI for this move. Some stupids will say we got WC back and what was the reason to escalate. This is what our media dalals want to paint GoI in black.

So whatever happened at porkistan nuke base is not TEL thingy as the journo said.but there is something more to.it
Most of Paki missiles are liquid fueled ones... there is probability of accident while filling the liquid.
May be paki's were preparing missiles by fueling it up or may be just a drill to prepare them self's and there was an accident.
In above case accident would have happened inside the fortified bunker, with fuel/fire escaping through air intakes, that may have cause fire/burn marks on one side of complex as is the case in the sat images.

Nicely written. But the unanswered question is: why were more F-16s not brought down by a superior force consisting of SU-30s and Mirages? Just one kill on a Paki strike package of 24 aircraft?
Because India didn't want an escalation after Balakot, and RoE for Indian CAPs probably were to scare Pakis away and not shoot them down, and Abhinandan's plane went too close to the retreating pakis. After they brought down IAF aircraft and took a PoW, and pakis managed to put down some munition on the Indian side; the paki side committed escalation. This is when many world powers sensed that a real war is brewing, because India was going to respond to PAF action with Navy action on Karachi, for the simple reason that Modi was provoked during elections. This was the backdrop under which Pompeo walked into de-escalation negotiations.

I'm sure India didn't bargain anywhere near as cheaply as "give us our PoW back, we'll de-escalate." India put itself in a position to ask for anything, like "move heaven and earth but get JeM on UNSC shitlist, and give us our PoW back, pronto." Even chicoms now admit their veto was only a technical halt and they will move forward on that very soon.

For God's sake, the Pakis entered our sovereign territory to bomb our military installations. That's a huge provocation that needed suitable and strong counter action.

So we don't take action even if the enemy penetrates our airspace just so as not to escalate? In other words just lie down and get raped so as not to escalate? I don't buy that argument.
