Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the military's ability to conduct "surgical strikes" against Pakistani insurgents in Kashmir was on par with Israeli forces, according to Indian daily The Hindustan Times.
“Our army’s valor is being discussed across the country these days," Modi said during a rally honoring retired and serving soldiers in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi District.

"We used to hear earlier that Israel has done this. The nation has seen that Indian army is no less than anybody,” he added.
Modi made the comments in light of a recent clandestine operation conducted by the Indian military that saw multiple Pakistani militant bases in Kashmir destroyed last month.


The strike was in response to an deadly attack allegedly conducted by Pakistani militants on Indian forces stationed on an army base in Kashmir’s Uri that left 19 soldiers dead.

As we predicted earlier Pakis retaliation came in Poonch area where their positions are strong.

Yesterday Capt Abhimanyu Raj Rif. Wounded by Paki sniper.


Paki snipers picking our troops with ease. Seems SVD is not enough for counter sniping tactics and Vidhwansak is too heavy and too limited in numbers.

So maybe Army should retalite with zu 23, L 70 and even ATGM against their positions.

A man has been killed while five others — including three women — were injured when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control, according to an ISPR statement issued on Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as Abdul Rehman, 28, resident of Palani village while the injured included a minor girl, the statement added. They all belong to the Palani village.

Meanwhile, Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria said India had violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) at Karela sector twice.

After cease fire 2003 there is no heavy arty deployment on Loc. Mostly 81 mm mortar. In 2014 Army retaliate with L 70 and destroyed Paki posts.
