I was asked on twitter if any portal exists with details of martyred or injured soldiers/families in need of financial support. Well I would add any other support as well that people could help in any manner or direct to.

Please use this thread to update if any such information is available or members come across such families.

A biker died and his pillion rider sustained injuries when their motorcycle was knocked down by a speeding car on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sahadeva Reddy (21), a native of Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh, the police said. He was a contract employee with the IAF and was on his way to work with his colleague Sunil (26) when the accident took place. It happened on the service road near the Indian Air Force campus near Yelahanka.

The car was driven by an airport customs official, Ezhil Venu, who was arrested by the Yelahanka police. Venu was driving back home from the Kempegowda International Airport after a night shift.

According to the police, Venu was driving in a rash and negligent manner. He was sleepy and lost control of the car before it collided with the bike, they said.

The handle of the two-wheeler got lodged in the rear of the car. The bike was dragged for some distance before the car slipped into a drain.

Passers-by rushed to rescue the bikers. Reddy was shifted to a nearby hospital, but was declared brought dead.

The police have registered a case of accidental death due to rash and negligent driving against Venu.

Donations made to Bharat Ke Veer are tax deductible under Sec 80G. So please, instead of forcefully putting that money here and there in the name of tax cuts (i.e purchase of unnecessary insurance, or taking a home loan, or opening a pension account just for tax cuts), please donate to soldiers.

I do donate to BharatkeVeer and also to Armed forces flag day fund every year .
Same. Me decided to donate whatever money I would have otherwise spent on a yearly smartphone purchase to Bharat Ke Veer. Still using my old Redmi Y2. There's no point buying more and more of the same thing. The army fund can make better use of that money.

I mean instead of funding Chinki Companies and CPC the money will be better used to fund the families of our alive and Martyred Soldiers.
