Holy shit ... I asked my pal about he participating in air exercise, I have more respect for him than I could ever imagine, in his own words "I am sorry bro, I won't comment on it, hope you understand". Damn for the first time in my life I am ashamed of myself so badly.

Damn ... I am so close to being fucked but he saved my ass. Damn these shit can get real man... I'd better not talk sensitive stuff. My bad.

Anybody here who have pals here as well, take a note as well guys. I was dumb enough to pore out my curiosity and enthusiasm, next time I'll curb things up.

New Delhi: Group Captain Arun Marwaha leaked sensitive information on national security to Pakistan's ISI, Delhi Police said in its chargesheet against him.

The Police said that in total 12 sensitive documents, including the upcoming 'Ek Gagan Shakti' Air Force exercise and IAF-Army joint Human Aid in Disaster relief exercise, were passed on. The exercises now remain stalled.

The chargesheet said that Marwaha, who was in the post of Joint Director Operations (PARA) at Indian Air Force Headquarters, and the ISI agents would talk on a 'hookup' app. The platform provided them secured chats which get deleted every time the users log out.

The officer was first approached by the agents on Facebook from two IDs named Kiran Randhawa and Mahima Patel. They then started chatting with him on WhatsApp, followed by the app.

The chats between the agents and Marwaha were explicit in nature. It was done to honey trap him, the group captain confessed in his disclosure statement.

On approaching Facebook, the IP addresses of the IDs were ascertained to have been operated from Pakistan. Marwaha was arrested on February 7 this year by Delhi Police. He had been chatting with the ISI agents from December last year, police said.

The Group Captain was first detained by the Army for inspection and after proof of espionage was found, he was handed over to Delhi police who booked and arrested him under the Official Secrets Act. Laptops, Mobiles and CDs were recovered from him.

What is this, don't they understand what will Kiran Randhawa and Mahima Patel will do with 12 pages of sensitive documents related to a Military exercise ?

Seriously what kind of officers we are having in the Air Force, there is no quota and reservation system there, so they can't give the excuse of inferior quality.

Bas Rafale, S-400, F-35 saab la ke de dou inko, wo bhi ek randi ke liye Pakistan ko bacch ayeinge. If this is the situation in a military exercise, I don't know what will happen in the event of war.

I think he was blackmailed. Usual modus operandi in this type of espionage is black mailing., this guy might send his own nude photos or videos to that fake account. Once they got this, they will threaten him with this. Give information otherwise we will send this video to your family members or will make video public.

Nude photo ? What is he a princes that his nude photo will cause embarrassment, Russian pilots and Naval officers are regularly seen roaming around naked on the beaches of Goa. Europeans have naked only beaches in their countries.

I didn't know we have phool kumaris recruited as officers, what would have the world seen ? every man is born naked and dies naked. At least someone should give them some moral lessons and some warrior code of conduct, drinking alcohol, making multiple sexual relationships, sharing wives with colleagues is not the way to behave in a military. Better go and open a kotha in GB road for that, will get them some money also.

If they are doing It then do It shamelessly and If they have so much shame than better avoid doing such things.

I am sorry to say, all the good officers will suffer due to this bastard, in case of war many good men would have lost their life due to him and his likes. The chain is as strong as Its weakest link, hope some one takes the belt out and give a good thrashing to this person.

Seriously, I don't think I would have fallen for such a ridiculously obvious honeytrap even when I was 16. And did these officers not learn ANYTHING from that other air force officer who got caught a while back? I mean this is laughable.

People would be stupid to believe what media outlets are saying either about leaked information or stalled Exercise.

This is a old news, he was caught in February now just before the Exercise we have got this News.

These are IAF guys. They have a lot of things to remember, like the 10-front war scenario India is facing. They're under pressure and sometimes there are lapses and they reveal data. You'd be revealing data too, if you were at a constant risk of a 10 front war with Bhutan, and Fiji trying to send their stealth bombers to nuke your country and you didn't have the requisite 500 squadrons of planes to tackle the threat. Respect the IAF, don't make fun of them. It's serious business. So serious that their chief is under CBI investigation. Even the CBI wants to learn the secrets of the IAF. That's how knowledgeable these people are.

I remember your comments about the IAF from before. Now I'm starting to see your point.

At the rate at which they're going they might have a different type of fighter jet for each of the 10 fronts. Su 30mki + Rafale + new MMRCA+ Tejas + Mirage 2000 + Mig 29 + su 57 + AMCA. Just 2 more to go.
We already have those fighters in reality even though the 10 fronts are not real. We also have the Foxbat, Chinook, and Apache now.

When France was building Rafale, their reason was that 2 types of fighter jets would be "too much" to maintain, so they phased out the Mirage. When India acquires jets, we take all types of planes from all countries that manufacture planes. 2 types of planes from Russia, 2 from Murica, 2 from France. Bahut krantikaari.

Indian Air Force carries out 10,000 sorties of combat aircraft fleet in 3 days

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The war games were part of the Exercise Gaganshakti.
  • Gaganshakti is the biggest-ever war game carried out by IAF.
  • Every combat aircraft force carried out six sorties on three consecutive days.

A Su-30MKI aircraft escorting IAF chief ACM BS Dhanoa during Exercise Gaganshakti. The picture is taken from inside IAF chief's aircraft.

Aiming to prepare itself for a short and swift two-front war against China and Pakistan, the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out around 10,000 sorties of its entire combat aircraft fleet in three days across the country to demonstrate its capability to undertake high intensity operations with the limited number of aircraft available.

The 72-hour intense war games were part of the first phase of the Exercise Gaganshakti, which is the biggest-ever war game carried out by the air force to prove its mettle, despite facing shortage of around 10 squadrons fighter aircraft due to lack of inductions and phasing out of the old MiG-series planes.

"Almost every combat aircraft of the force carried out six sorties on three consecutive days to demonstrate that we are capable of undertaking high tempo operations with the fleet available to us, and the shortage of combat planes does not have any impact on our capability to handle both war fronts," government sources told Mail Today.

"At some places, the weather conditions hindered the operations of combat aircraft, but we will compensate for it in the next phase. We have shown our capability to do more with the available resources to do away with the shortages," they added. The IAF has a sanctioned strength of 42 squadrons, meaning around 840 combat aircraft of different planes, but the service is currently at only 31 squadrons (620 planes) due to delays in induction of any new aircraft and delays in the LCA Tejas combat aircraft programme. Despite the induction of two squadrons of the Rafale combat planes planned from 2019, the situation will not improve in the near future, as around 10 squadrons of the MiG-27 and MiG-21 planes are scheduled to be phased out by the year 2025.

In this scenario, the air force is carrying out more sorties from its existing fleet by improving the maintenance and serviceability of the planes, which helped it to get more out of its planes during the pan-India wargames, which started from April 8 and are expected to continue till April 22.

During the wargames, the air force carried out a drill where the IAF chief Birender Singh Dhanoa was taken to a forward base to monitor the high tempo operations under the protection of Sukhoi-30 combat aircraft.

Gaganshakti will see participation of over 1100 combat and transport aircraft, along with helicopters that will take off from air bases in north India and fly for over ten hours to drop bombs over the seas to demonstrate their capability.

The Indian Navy has also deployed its MiG-29K combat planes, which is deployed for only maritime strike roles over the sea. The aircraft fly along the Air Force to demonstrate its striking capabilities against any future threats.

Even though the Air Force insisted that the exercise is to demonstrate its capabilities and not against any specific country, the force would also focus on rapid deployment of troops along the borders with China.

The drills, known as Inter Valley Troop Transfer (IVTT), would be greatly helpful to tackle any Doklam type of crisis against China, as the force would be able to quickly move troops in large number in case of any incursion by the People's Liberation Army.

The force will also show landing and take off operations of its combat aircraft from the Advanced Landing Grounds in Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, which have been reactivated in recent years to counter the growing Chinese infrastructure on the Line of Actual Control.
