Ask UAE or Egypt about the use of F16 during the Lybian air campaign : they were not allowed to use it, and uncle Sam used (or threaten to use) this software switch to that.
This if why UAE only used M2000-9 for this campaign.
This is why UAE and Egypt ordered Rafale.

Back then means 2021? Read what happened in Afghanistan. Our stupid president left valuable aircraft that can still fly and do fly. There are no kill switches, there are killer policy changes that ruin things.

Flyable planes doesn't really mean anything. What I mean kill switches for stuff that really matter in this day and age of electronic warfare. A flying plane without a working radar or usable weapon is just target practice. That's what the kill switches do. Make your flying plane a target practice.

Specially if you give a pic of a plane in production phase.... with a lack of equipments.
Actually F-16 cockpits have evolved way beyond what you imagine - I expect Dassault to catch up in 2040 when FCAS starts production

Thank you for sharing this! Like F-35, India's upcoming AMCA will have a Glass cockpit equipped with a wide panoramic touchscreen display for enhanced man-machine interaction, a multi function display (MFD) placed in portrait orientation and a wide-angle holographic head-up display (HUD).

F21 is only a paper plane. A LM specialty : the powerpoint plane.
F35 is a PC gamer. Speak of it when it will be FOC. As for now it is an aero show bird, nothing more.

Lockheed Martin did develop and manufactured F-22 and F-35 which are unrivaled aircraft. Saying LM specialty : the powerpoint plane or F35 is a PC gamer is bit contemptuous. Its sounds someone is feeling threatened and/or jealous.
F-21 is nothing more than rebranded the F-16V Block 70/72 configuration with a single-panel cockpit, avionics resembling the F-35's integrated cockpit display, a triple-rail AIM-120 launcher, and integrated probe-and-drogue conformal fuel tanks from the former F-16IN.
No separate specialized FOC testing will be needed as this is basically upgraded and rebranded F-16.
Yes only Rafale is the uber plane, everything else doesn't exist. Keep telling your captive clients that. FCAS is to replace all near obsolete Rafale by 2040.

F-35 has already attained FOC. For example Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 242 attained Full Operational Capability (FOC) on May 17, 2022, with about 32 F-35B aircraft.
