The management of DFI has decided to donate its June revenues towards flood relief. Which agency will be decided later or may be we will take members opinion on it.

This will be a small contribution from our side.

May God help all those who have lost their loved ones, their livelihood, their lands, their properties.
Lovely Gesture,

We are ready to make the donation. @Ray Sir your check has not come yet. If you can PM @Singh the amount, he will make the payment on your behalf.

We are going to make the payment to Prime Ministers Relief Fund.

Would Prime Ministers Relief Fund be a safe avenue for the help to reach intended beneficiaries ? I mean, we have examples of scams perpetrated by Sheila Dikshit & Khursheed (from handicaps fund)....How about NGO's like "Goonj" ?

I mean, would it be prudent to hand this over to politicians-bureaucrats ?

I have PMed Singh giving details of cheque. Please confirm he has got the PM..

I have just written the cheque (30 June) out and my wife is sending it by speed post tomorrow.

It is in the name of Singh and it is at the M address as given by him.

Though I regret it will go to the PM's Relief Fund.

It will never be spent well!

I have made another contribution to an organisation that I know are already in location and at it.

I had seen them operating in two very large disaster reliefs.

We thought about PMRF as we don't know which other agency would be appropriate. Pls suggest if you know about. Its not that we can't change who we will donate to

Those in Delhi would be better equipped to know who delivers.

Or else we will have trucks flagged off with fanfare and then the drivers selling them off when they arrive somewhere and find that no one has given them money for the fuel, as it happened or so it was reported on the TV.

As I said before, one should not trust the PM Relief Fund and all that, it has come true.

Headlines Today is carrying the news that the PMO has turned down an RTI on details of where the fund has been used claiming that the PMO is out of the purview of the RTI.

If the money was genuinely used, why this shyness and secrecy?

We contribute with full faith and so we sure want to know if our money has been well spent and not used for election purposes!
