Mean while in Mahbub nagar Muslim youths destroyed a part of a Hanuman temple and the police had to use lathicharge and teargas on the protesting Hindus !
Hindus could not worship in their temple because Muslims wanted to take a rally and prompty the temple was shut down..HYDERABAD: Mild tension prevailed near the Bhagyalakshmi temple abutting Charminar when police prevented devotees from entering the premises of the temple on Friday morning citing security reasons. Police had taken this precaution in view of the bike rally taken out by Muslims on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (the Prophet's birthday), but in the end, the day passed off peacefully.
The temple was off bounds for the devotees from 8am and was shut for the most part of the day by the police who set up a three-layered barricade in front of the shrine. "Since morning, not a single devotee was permitted to offer prayer. Only the priests were allowed inside. Since last month and half, the police are asking us to close the temple between 11am and 2.30pm every Friday. But today, the temple was made off bounds for devotees the entire day," said Bhagyalakshmi temple trustee Shashikala.
