I suspect the mock up is based on Rafael i-dome

Afaik Vem has ties with Rafael and most probably got it from them with limited local inputs from their sides

I dont think they have the technical skills yet to come up with an integrated compact air defence solution all alone. Even drdo don't have such a system .

But good luck to them , only if they integrate indian missiles and radars on to the same and not just end up relabelling isreali system / Israeli weapons with indian names

I am beginning to think that it’s better for these private companies to pay DRDO/OFB for development and prototyping of their conceptual ideas.

These private companies in turn can become the OEM of those equipment.

DRDO can also create a separate company to cater specifically to domestic defence equipment companies.
