Chinese orbiter fails to enter designated orbit due to rocket malfunction

the comparable Launch Vehicles to
PSLV in Long March family(CZ family--CZ1,CZ2 sercial,CZ3 serial,CZ4 serial) might be
CZ-2 A,C,D(LongMarch 2 A,C,D or LM 2 A,C,D) ....note: CZ-2 E,F,F/G not included.
basicly CZ2 serial is a 2 stage rocket, PLSV has 4 stages(some model has Strap-On, so 4.5 stages)...
PSLV CA/PSLV/PSLV XL have a range of
LEO payload ability :
2100-3800 Kg
SSO payload ability:
1100-1750 kg-- the main payload of PSLV
GTO payload ability:
1050-1440 kg-- not the main purpose of this LV ,but due the GSLV problem, PSLV is also used for such missions.
parallelly CZ2 A/C/D would provide such payload ability
LEO payload ability :
1800-3100 Kg
SSO payload ability:
750-2000 kg
GTO payload ability:
1440 kg ------only one model :Z-2C (3) CPKM was designed for this orbit ,but I'm afraid the launch never happened
due to the limited liquid rocket ability (Vikas engine-- similar to and a TOT of the Viking engine of Ariane 4 )and lack of the rocket engine cluster design , PSLV chose the complicated 4 staged structure (2 liquid ,2 solid),which made the this LV a little
inefficient.(GSLV MK1,2 has the same problem, even the MK3)
PSLV's lift-off weight is as high as
294 tons...and with similar payload ability,CZ-2 C/D has a lift-off mass of
192-232 tons...
BTW ,we would see the
high thrust rocket engine cluster design on GSLV MK3 for the first time, which is known as L110 engine.
