They have no problem shooting at things they can see. When the PAC-3 can't detect cruise missiles it is a failing of the system and not the soldier. Hopefully SKA will order VL Mica so they can protect their assets from this new threat.
The Saudis will simply embarass the French since I doubt they will properly operate MICA-based ADS. Anyway, according to this Twitter post that Aramco facility were guarded supposedly by French and German point ADS:

80s radar was not designed to detect cruise missiles, the threat didn't exist and SKA has refused to upgrade them to Crotale NG. They were relying on the Patriot batteries for something they are incapable of dealing with but they have learned it is not an complete solution. The state of Oman has learned that a Mistral and VL Mica layered defence is the proper solution.

Can we put land attack version of Brahmos missile on destroyers and frigates.

It is not clear yet if the Saudis already operate PAC-3 Patriot since they only ordered it late last year. They are known to operste older PAC-2 Patriots designed mainly for anti-aircraft duyies with limited ABM capability.

But you're right, Patriot is not designed for low flying targets.

Brahmos is not a terrain hugging missile. If it has to achieve close to max. range it has to follow high-low path with most of its flight path taking place in altitude. This is where Brahmos can be intercepted.
This will be partly true in hilly areas only and not elsewhere. It is not even easy to intercept it in even hilly areas, because it will become invisible after it appears while crossing the mountain.

Again, supersonic cruise missile doesn't fly in low altitude in land attacking unless you get some alien techs. It is quite easier to intercept than subsonic cruise as the latter is actually flying through the valley and hard to track continuously.

With high speed cruise it is far more difficult to intercept a missile at high altitude than low. There's a good reason the SR-71 was never successfully hit by a missile even though thousands were fired at it throughout its service life.

In case of Porks, they don't even have a missile system capable of conducting those types of engagements. At low altitude however the game changes and interception algorithms swing in favor of the defender. A sub-sonic missile is able to scan and dodge obstacles like tall trees, power lines or structures. A supersonic missile cannot as reaction time is too short so it has to fly at least 250-300m altitude where every radar around can see it and engage totally negating any advantage of low flying

In regards to its observability compared to a ballistic missile during mid-course flight it is not much different. They are both flying high. As opposed to a terrain hugging cruise missile that is virtually invisible to ground based radar in all phases of flight.
Not invisible... Mast mounted radars and aerostat based radars can detect them. Once detected and tracked, subsonic cruise missiles is turkey shoot.

No one really uses aerostat based radars or radar masts high enough to detect them at range. Being at tree-top level cruise missiles get lost in ground clutter even when trying to detect them from top-down. They can be made of composites and with a RAM coat like SCALP they have the RCS of a toothpick. The older ones made of aluminum are still not very big and get lost in the clutter of waves and trees. The response time is less than 20km.

Brahmos does not use stealth as means of protection, it uses its sheer speed and maneuverability. It takes a highly capable interceptor to shoot down such a target which only a few countries posses.

Well as the sword advances, so does the shield... When, stealth missiles come up against a networked high density AD network, covering all possible ingress points, using IRST, LRF .. and modern radars like Rezonans-NE, these missiles can still be shot down...

The question is who is going to all of the expense to build and maintain that?

Only some major power like US or China could afford.. i guess.. :)
Not even the US could afford that for 24/7 coverage of all of its territory and bases. The best you could do is put up enough AWACs for a limited area and time of tension. SKA is under threat of attack any time and any place and it is not a small country like Oman that can concentrate its air defence.
