smog to clear. Low visibility was there so pakis were taking advantage of ti for deploying more force. Indian forces are ready :)
Nothing to do with smog. In fact low visibility during smog should make it easier for them to infiltrate jihadi and terrorist scum into India.

The temporary lull in firing is for Bakis to indulge in their favourite past time i.e. downhill ski, lick their wounds and once their backsides have healed, they'll be back again.

Bakis believe that like the Ghoris of the yore, they will eventually prevail over us and that these setbacks are temporary and an essential component of jihad fi sabiillaah.

I understand they were doing alright before America intervened but they are brute savages historically who plunder, rape and lie. Here's how they treated Indian POWs in the second Anglo Afghan war which the brutes lost:

you are right , I dont have any sympathy for afghans ...................somehow we should create More and more wars Between Pakis & afghans ............

Russians & Americans did right with these Savages .

thousands of Afghan women were Raped by soviets and again by Americans .

They said artillery guns were stealthy moved up and used in straight fire position to raze four positions of Pakistan army to avenge the mutilation of an Indian Army jawan's body by some suspected militants few days ago.

Violating ceasefire, Pakistan had been firing 120 mm heavy mortars to target Indian civilian areas, to which India had responded strongly.

Defence sources said while ceasefire violations by Pakistan was a regular feature "the intensity had never been so hard in the recent past."
BSF does use artillery, including 105 mm guns. Sialkot sector is on the International Border, not the LoC, therefore, chances are it is BSF, not the Army which is using artillery. Said that, I could be wrong.

They are reshuffling the officers posted and there fore this requires time as new proper army inforcements will come.

They are most probably deploying more cannons and to prevent the detection from sky, they are doing it under smog.

This was the action taken last month in the Keren sector where we had destroyed 4 Porki posts. This news is just a confirmation that artillery was used in the direct firing role. We don't know as yet what artillery guns were used for the purpose. Probably 105mm field guns.

So it clearly seems we are going to see action in next few weeks. Only hope, we teach them a lesson with minimum casualties on our side.

According to a media report, India retaliated with fire assault after Mandeep Singh's mutilation and killed at least 40 Pakistani soldiers in a strike conducted on October 29.

Pakistan suffered major losses in the Oct 29 strike as maximum damage was done in Keran sector because four posts of Pakistani army were badly hit by Indian Army's firing, according to a report in CNN-News18.

After surgical strikes by Indian Army in Pakistan's territory, 18 infiltrations have been foiled so far.

Mandeep Singh's brutal killing

On Oct 28, terrorists, aided by cover fire by Pakistani Army, crossed the Line of Control and killed sepoy Mandeep Singh, a soldier with the 17 Sikh Regiment, and mutilated his body.

The barbaric incident happened in Macchil sector of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The jawan's family members had demanded that Pakistan be taught a lesson for harbouring terrorists. His brother Sandeep Singh had demanded that the family wanted 10 Pakistani heads for the price of one.

Pak Army replacing Rangers at border as Indian Army goes on a killing spree

Highlights

  • Pak army personnel are being increasingly deployed along the 190km international border in Jammu at border outposts usually manned by the Pak Rangers
  • Top sources in BSF confirmed that the Pak army had deployed soldiers and weaponry at the Rangers’ posts, placing regular Pak troops face to face with the BSF
In what seems to be a sign of escalating tensions, Pakistan army personnel are being increasingly deployed along the 190km international border in Jammu at border outposts and camps usually manned by the Pakistan Rangers.

The change in deployment has been noted by the Border Security Force and is seen as a clear departure from the practice of specialized paramilitaries, instead of armies, guarding the borders in Jammu, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Bengal.

Top sources in BSF and the government confirmed that the Pakistani army had deployed soldiers and weaponry at the Rangers' posts, placing regular Pakistan troops face to face with the BSF. "It's difficult to say if the Pakistani army has taken control of the Rangers' posts at IB but there is certainly a lot of movement, with many vehicles regularly bringing soldiers and arms. This has been going on for the past 8-9 days," said a senior official.

There is no intelligence input on what the Pakistani army is doing exactly, but the intent seems to be to beef up military presence along the international border.

The change ties in with New Delhi's assessment that the Pakistani army will continue to provoke hostilities until the end of the month, when chief General Raheel Sharif is due to retire. "General Sharif may be hoping to leverage the tension he has created on the border to determine the choice of his successor," said a senior government functionary in Delhi. The Indian Army is in charge along the line of control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir, where the boundary does not have official recognition and is disputed.

The BSF has gathered information on the rank and number of Pakistani regulars, and is linking their presence to the firing and shelling directed at Indian civilians along border areas.

According to sources, the sector commander of Chenab Rangers (part of Pakistan Rangers) in Jammu is Brigadier Amzad Hussain, an army officer. "There seems a high probability that Pakistan's army is directing attacks on civilians in contrast to the Indian Army," said a BSF official.

The sector opposite the Indian sector hit worst last week — Samba, with eight civilian deaths — too has an army officer, believed to be Lt Col Hashim Bhatti, commanding the 24 Chenab Rangers.

Similarly, opposite India's Chicken Neck sector, Pakistani army's Lt Col Tariq is understood to be in charge of the 21 Chenab Rangers, which oversees 30-odd border outposts in Head Marala. Lt Col I A Khan looks after 12, Wing in Langay Manjkay across India's R S Pura sector.

SRINAGAR: A militant was today killed and a soldier injured as an encounter broke out between ultras and security forces after the latter launched a search operation in a village in Shopian district of south Kashmir, police said.

Police assisted by security forces cordoned off Dobjan village, 60 kms from here, after getting information about presence of four militants there, a police official said.
He said as the security forces moved to the target house, hiding militants resorted to firing in an attempt to break the cordon.
