ws-10a vs an AL-31F mounted on a J-10 he pictures below do a good job of showing the petals on the engine nozzles of Ws-10A and AL-31 (first one is WS-10A and second is AL-31). If you look at the original picture, the petals on the J-11BS does look like that of WS-10A. You see that the petals are one on top of the next rather than the pattern seen on AL-31FN in the second photo. I will stop there, since I don't think I'm qualified to comment on any more than this.

It does look like it. I don't see how WS-10A expects to get decent performing thrust without making the nozzle petals more adjustable.
i've added a picture in which u cansee clearly the difference between the 2 engines photoshoped? i think i've said that these photos are taken by a tourist who is testing his new camera. and i've given the source link. in that link u can see many other photos he has taken. if u consist that it is photoshoped,prove it. Fake photos are not perfect.
I said post some credible source if you say you don't have it the thread will be closed post the pictures in multimedia section no further discussion proving the picture nonsense.
it is enough for J11/J10 and more adjustable petals will appear on a new engine..maybe WS15 or sth...

close?why? double WS10 on J11b is so clear on those pictures.. and for comparison, at #5 i've posted a J11 flying with a ws10 and an al31 what else should i prove?
on chinese military forums,many say that they've "got tears on face" when they saw the pictures for WS10 is finally ready..
Pictures are not the source you understand this basic fact or not post some credible news source and this is my post on this matter
pictures are real while news are sometimes fake............especially in china news said WS10 ready,few years ago, but in fact aieforce never used a WS10 based plane, until now.

the proof that WS10 engine has been in service well, one group of J11B propelled by WS10 were cruising over sea... obviously, the problems of WS10 has been fixed and WS10 engines now are active in service of PLAAF....
