A "Bhai-Bhai" friend?
This so called friend kept rejecting the suggestion of diplomatic negotiation over disputed area for a decad!
And then suddently, under the name "forward policy", sending to the troop to squeeze Chinese out of their controlled part of disputed area!
Even after sending the troop, this "friend" still reject coming to the negotiation table!
So basically, your expectation of this so called "friend" is: he must accept whatever you say!

my reply :-
even today PLA is transgressing the border - weekly

I haven't seen china harm india. In fact china has been trying to sell india anything and everything it needs such as waste treatment facilities amongst other infrastructure projects that india needs. Why would you harm a neighbour that buys alot of your products.

capability depends on money. you spend you get capabilities. you don't then you need to make friiends. Since we have alot in common with the US we will make friends.

Now india has alot in common with sri lanka, bagladesh, and pakistan. except you've managed to piss every one of your neighbours off.

Some people in Australia will sympathise with india because it is poor and some people will sympathise with china because it is rich. or vise versa. Nothing wrong there. You will find right wingers here in Australia will sympathise with china over india because we respect power and money and left wingers will sympathise with india because they respect socialism and high taxes.

I have a bias because I respect power.

actually its 1:3. are you sure you are familiar with military tactics?

You are over hyping the terrain. If you have ever been up to the snow, you will know that there is no terrain advantage except for the one with the biggest, the most and the accurate guns.

height has no advantage when it cannot hide from GPS et al munitions. Besides, you do not have the height advantage, china has and they took it from you and didn't give it back. And this is the source of much friction between you and the chinese.

Could you explain a little more in detail?

I believe I have spent quite a lot of time in High Altitude and in heavy snow.

I daresay that I know the terrain on both side = the West and the East.

Forgive me, but that is not so in High Altitude warfare.

no the actual ratio is 1:5 when it comes to a mountainous terrain and it doesn't matter how much advance weaponry you have in your disposal if you are in the low lying areas which in this case
