why india do not make airbase in sri lanka?

sri lanka is important country in south asia because of statergic view .........if india make airbase in sri lanka it help us to cover full indian osian as well as give set back to china..........its time to take agessive step to neutralize chinese influnce or thred in osian

Because we don't need one. What will we get by basing our assets in an island nation separated only by a shallow sea from our mainland when we have got Andaman and Nicobar? We already have our assets deployed where we need them like in Maldives, Mozambique and Seychelles.

Why should we base any air assets there? India gets more reach by basing them in Andamans or Lakshadweep islands. Instead of SL we can have on the southern tip of mainland India. We don't need any base outside india for control of IOR.

Nope. A base in SL is just not required and doesn't serve any purpose. For the eastern part of IOR, our base in Andaman is more than enough, though it does need to be upgraded.

And for western part of IOR, I would favor a air base in either Mauritius or Madagascar. We already have assets there.

Good question. We need an Airbase in A'than and Tajikistan too. These 2 airbases will be deadly to divide Pakistan in 2 parts. 8)

But as of now we are not ready. 1st we need to improve our own bases with enough quality aircraft, etc.

Logistics will be a nightmare if we base our assets in Afghanistan and Tajikistan. What supply route will we use?

We already have an airbase in Tajkisthan i.e. Farkhor. But currently not operational.

Tajikistan and Afghanistan can provide airbases. For supply route we can talk to Iran. Difficult and expensive but very much possible. Advantage will be huge.

Thread not worth continuation. About the base in Tajikistan, enough has been talked about it. There ain't no base, we don't have no fighters we dont have no assets. Farkhor was a military hospital maintained by India. Ayni was touted as an airbase that never was. This was denied by the former chief. Rest of the discussion in respective threads.
