US Warns India Not to Buy Russian Weapons

The US policy of diktat will backlash, bringing together those who are threatened by US sanctions. The EU is about to fight back, Turkey sticks to its guns, India has refused to bow. American allies will have to work out their own approaches to international problems, using quite different instruments to achieve the desired goals. The US global standing will be weakened. By trying to isolate others America will isolate itself. But the addiction to teach, dictate and bark orders is too great to get easily rid of. It takes time to realize that the times have changed. What worked well yesterday has become counterproductive today.

Thats the best part of US loud mouth sanctions.
Time has changed in US politics and POTUS and the administration will find backstabbers in their own house than elsewhere

USA should choose friends wisely and manage to keep them happy by a barter not by barking.

I doubt US strength has weakend in anyway. The true strength of a nation comes from the inside. While there is no arguing that EU, traditional allies & long standing trading partner look on with dismay as their gravy train is being disrupted. On the otherhand, US economy is strongest it's been a generations, unemployment lows, huge job availability, massive infusions of capital and profits parked outside. All this plus add the biggest defense budget ever.

As for tarrifs, well US has been disadvantged over many decades with these trade practices sepcially with China, EU, Canada & Mexico, it's plenty of hypocrisy when these countries cry foul since they too have many barriers for US business. Reducing a lot of these massive defecits is important for long term stability of the US and this can only happen if people are willing to talk. Had the EU budged a bit during negotiation in March/April, they would have been exempted, same goes for Canada and Mexico. Instead these leftist assholes are too busy grand standing their hatred for Trump admin every chance they get. Meanwhile these exact countries are bound to loose a lot more than the US and none of their economies are as robust.

Plus EU being a house of delicate cards could crumble from inside under it's own fat lazy ass. These douches picked a wrong time for this trade war, it only weakens EU a lot more. Deep cracks are setting in with Italy, Hungary, Poland etc. With EU now pushing for more Migration, the dooms day clock for EU just got closer to midnight.

It's best for India & US to have a fair trade agreement where both India and US have little/minimal barriers and tarrifs. I expect US to drop sactions against Russia once this Russian Collusion witch hunt ends formally.
