You posted CD crap...

None of those pictures assert your claim, in fact being next to J-20 disproves it.
It is the time for u to face the reality, my friend.

but if cynical replies do make you feel good, u can continue behave the way you like which makes you no good.

That puts things into perspective better than your stupid cut outs. It is at the test field along with the J-20 which still makes it "experimental." The testbed has been flying that engine for years waiting on it to be more reliable. They had engine failures which is why it is not off the line.
WS-10 in J-10 IS experimental.
But WS-10 itself is not, since hundreds of WS-10s is in service in PLAAF.
Since WS-10 is a muture engine, the test in J-10 won't be long.

But then what's with the recent purchase of additional AL-31F engines? There was a fine Chinese member who posted it in another forum.

China Signs $500 Million deal for 123 AL-31FN

By Jack Jordan - Jul 4, 2011

China's Ministry of Defense signed a contract to buy Russian aircraft engines worth $500 million in early June, Vedomosti reported, citing an unidentified personsource close to Russia's state arms-selling agency and an unidentified manager of an aviation company.

The contract is for 123 AL-31FN engines by 2013, the first 13 of which will be delivered later this year, the newspaper said.

There is no WS-10 in service with PLAAF. They all run on AL-31s. If WS-10A was mature, PLA wouldn't be ordering more RUSSIAN engines for the next several years. You will know it is in mass production when you got photos of scores of aircraft lined up with WS-10A, the cancellation of Russian engine orders and the flooding of them on the third world export market.

There were around 100-128 J-10As fitted with AL-31F. These engines need to be replaced because they have reached service age. You can't just fit WS-10 on the same aircraft because then you will need to change a lot of things like flight control (different code), structure (different size), etc...

The additional AL-31F purchase coincide with that number.

^^ Wrong... J-10 has only been in service since 2005 and the average age of the first 128 production models is only 3 years. Try again...

AL-31FN doesn't fit in J-11. It is specifically designed for J-10. There are 200 J10s but they all have engines and spares from previous orders. This order is for continued support of the J-10 line.

Obvious isn't it...

They fly AL-31F, typical Flanker engine. AL-31FN was specially designed to fit single engine J-10 and is not interchangeable with AL-31F. Just because China designed WS-10 to fly in both doesn't mean Russia made two different models to fit both.

The engines have different connection points so you can't stick one in the other. Not even the WS-10 in the J-10 can fit in the J-20 or J-11. It is a reconfigured engine just for the J-10.

Don't know, it runs all the Su-27SKs, Su-30MK and Su-30MK2s in the inventory. I know this order makes 399 for the AL-31FN which is consistent with the double increase in production rates for the J-10 over the last year. It seems PLAAF has given up on WS-10A for J-10 as their low rate production is over and full steam ahead with Russian engines is in play. To re-engine the 300 fighters AL-31FN will be powering would cost beaucoup money so WS-10 won't be a real option until Mid-Life refits in the 2020s.

Armand is entitled to have his own idea, let's drop the discussion, one thing for sure for me, which is enough, that is China is catching up very fast and narrowing the gap after USA, as of French, Indian or Russian air force, I don't care at all

Insecurity or False Confidence
by Monica Burns

Confidence in one's self is an attractive character trait. It is a trait that sets us apart from the Insecure bunch and carries us through times that we initially thought we would never get through. Confidence assures our minds that we are able and capable to complete tasks and situations that are of great difficulty, and allows us to choose how we are going to handle the next obstacle. Confidence shows in us once we enter a room, once we speak to one another, and in our display of body language. When you are faking your Confidence.........others take notice!

Insecure people mirror the images that are presented before them and they often confuse their Insecure behavior with that of Confidence.

Insecurities floats to the surface in people when they feel threatened by others, afraid, and incompetent. They can't make decisions for themselves; instead, they attempt to duplicate the lives of those who they "claim to not like."

Insecure people tend to bully those around them and wish that they could be half of what others are.

If you find yourself never having anything good to say about someone that has never done anything to you......you are Insecure. You secretly want what they have. You may secretly even want to be that person. If you find that you only want to be in the company of those who are less intelligent than you are.....you are Insecure.

If you are in a relationship and you're always belittling your better half because they are doing okay for themselves and you're not doing so well at the moment......you are Insecure.
