I want to know who are these political observers making such lovely observations. Just last month Mahinda Rajapaksa had accused India of acting soft toward the Maithripala Sirisena government over policies towards China.

Currently, vehicle carriers are docking in the port. When the remaining developments of the port is completed. There will be more ships which would you the port as a service hub. As for the far future, when the planned Economic zone of the H'tota area is activated; harbor will be used ship the goods to number of locations around the world.

I dont think we have now any other option other than countering China. But it needs to be done in delicate way. Using soft machine. India immediately needs a propaganda machine. A Sinhalese, Bengali, Vietnamese and English version are needed. We have to focus and make Sri Lanka aware of China and their schemes. I can guarantee that next civil war in SL will start in Eastern coast, by Moors. Tamils are gone. SL Government must check missionary activity in SL to prevent Tamils from being converted. SL Government should promote both Hinduism and Buddhism. In Eastern coast even if civil war type wars dont break out still lots of disturbances are to come. In SL bilingual education should be started, In Sinhalese and Tamil. English 3rd language.

If Sirisena-Wickrmesinghe turned to China (which they have already done), what are India's options in Sri Lanka? Bring back Rajapaksha? I think India had prematurely made a foolish decision to instigate the so called January revolution in Sri Lanka. It has become a hopeless for India now on Sri Lanka.

No country gives F*ck about any other country. That is a given. Even India does so. Sri Lanka also understands that reality. That is why Sri Lanka went out for deal with China for the development of the country. It is a win win situation for both countries. China is not foolish enough to station military vessels in Sri Lanka. That point should be clearly emphasized. In order of them to use the H'tota port, they need to find a way to infiltrate in to the IOR region. If Indian Navy is impotent enough to let that happen; Sri Lanka has nothing to do about it.
