NEW DELHI: Actor Shiney Ahuja landed here on Sunday after being granted bail by the Bombay high court in the case of alleged rape of his domestic help.

The 36-year-old actor, who was released from the Arthur Road jail on Saturday after spending 110 days in jail, has been ordered by the court to stay away from Mumbai till the trial begins.

Shiney was received by his parents when he arrived at the airport with wife Anupam at around 11.30 am.

Shiney will either stay at his wife's house in Nizamuddin or his father's residence in Noida.

"He will come to Mumbai on October 7 for the trial. He will be staying in Delhi with his wife till then," a source close to the actor said.

The actor was granted bail by Justice A P Deshpande of the Bombay high court on October 1 on a surety of Rs 50,000 cash and the condition that he would stay in Delhi and report to the nearest police station regularly.

The court ruled that Shiney would be permitted to come to Mumbai only during the trial.

Shiney was asked to surrender his passport and refrain from offering any inducement to witnesses, directly or indirectly, and warned against tampering with evidence.

Shiney was arrested on June 15 after his maid lodged a complaint with the Oshiwara police that the actor had raped her at his residence. Shiney's wife and daughter were not at home when the alleged incident occurred. Earlier, the actor's bail plea was rejected twice by the lower court.

Shiney has five films in hand__Migration, Har Pal, Chalo Movie, Accident, and Take Two.

The moral of the story, never have a live in maid or even a part time maid and that too young.

The spell trouble and blackmail.

However, that is a general statement and nothing to do with this case.
