We need to install really good radars. The numerous mountain peaks will anyway generate a lot of noise in radar signals. I have a feeling guarding those mountains will invariably need a lot of human investment. No one knows what is the level or preparedness in that part of the country.
Concerning indeed.
I only wish you would have seen and been there on those mountains which are considered one of the most inhositable, High altitude and coldest invorenment akin to or only second to Siachin. It is only the audecity of Indian soldiers that those heights are occupied earlier than Kargil and post Kargil. There in fact is no need to occupy those heights as without proper logistics and backup no one can survive there perticularly in winters.
Pakistanies started inching forward from october onwards and completed incursion by occupation of posts (minimun five and maximum 20 soldiers per post) by Apr - May. But what happened. In the face of ditermined assaults, all these posts were captured. Pakistani troops could not sustain themselves. Their ammunition, rations and supplies were over. Occupation of 120 posts by Pakistan then turned out to be military blunder. Military operation at that level are not commando operations.
Musharaf will go down in history as an impulsive adventurist but foolish commando team leader who applied his silly commando techniques to win a large military campaign. He applied siachin tactics on Kargil. He being a Mohazir wanted to outdo every Pakistani to harm land of his fathers to prove his patriotism to the Punjabies and Pathans.
Silly joker.
