Between I had made a mistake earlier.
It was I who had compared our Rafale deal to their budget.

The Rafale deal is valued at 7. 87 billion €. And not USD.

The PKR will soon reach the 170figure. Probably within the next few months. It will be fun.

Pak rupee had dipped down to 146(vs USD) after spending hundreds of millions from their reserves, but now its back to 153.36 in less than 14 days
They didn’t spend anything. Before Eid with Pakistanis sending dollars home there is glut of dollars which pushed up the rupee. Now that’s over post Eid and rupee has started weakening again.

Nope. I remember that he called an emergency meeting in PM house when it reached 153, people started burning dollars and the next day, it was at 144 or 145 again. Maybe remittances helped later on but it gained value because SBP released Dollars in the market.

True. I have no sympathy for Iran but Iranian oil keeps oil and gas price cheap for us. A war will send oil Prices rocketing.

The other thing I like about Iran and turkey is that their fertility rates are way down for Islamic countries so there population won't be growing much. Hopefully with low population and more education they could become less Islamic over time. ( No guarantee though!).

AND Iran loves crispy Sunnis as much as we do so it's in our interest to keep the two engaged. Imagine the amount of $ Saudi spends on containing Iran. If this threat didn't exist, all of that $ would be pumped into Indian Madrassas. Saudi spends billions upon billions every year to sustain the proxy war to contain the influence of Iran all over the middle east.

True. Islam need to remain divided. Shia power is an important counterpart to Sunni madness.

Also Iran influence could be useful in Afghanistan if USA bows down to Taliban.

Pakistan can no longer be blacklisted by Fatf: Malaysia

LONDON - Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad in London Saturday to thank Malaysia for its support of Pakistan’s bid to avoid being blacklisted by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Dr Mahathir, who is in the United Kingdom for a three-day working visit, took the six-minute call at the Malaysian High Commission.

Malaysia’s support was seen as crucial in helping to stop Pakistan from being blacklisted after India had put forth a motion with FATF to blacklist the country for money-laundering activities linked to terrorism. With Malaysia’s backing, Pakistan now has the support of three nations.

After taking the call from Imran, Dr Mahathir told the Malaysian media present at the High Commission that Malaysia showed its support to Pakistan as the country has upped its war against money laundering. “We decided based on the rule of law. Not due to animosity.

We admit that money laundering is a major problem and it is happening because of the borderless world that allows free flow of capital,” he said, adding there was no point blacklisting any particular nation.

He also pointed out that the free flow of capital has affected other countries as well, including Malaysia, where capitalists have invested huge amounts of money in the share markets pushing up share prices. “At the end of the day, they sell their shares for a profit and take back their capital and their earnings at the expense of the countries they invested in,” he said.

Dr Mahathir also touched on the irony of trade wars, where the world promoted trade on one hand and on the other imposed sanctions. “In the end many innocent nations such as Malaysia are also affected. Hence, though we have no problem with Iran, we cannot trade with the country because of the sanctions. The trade war with China is also affecting us,” he said.

Meanwhile, after Dr Mahathir took the phone call from Imran, Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah told reporters that with Malaysia’s support, Pakistan has three nations behind it, with the other two being China and Turkey, and hence it could no longer be blacklisted.

So that slimy guy has upped the anti India rhetoric. First protect Zakir Naik. Now save Pakis at FATF.

I wonder what steps India can take againist Malaysia.

The two camps are being set. India can only strengthen itself and its alliances, part of which is America, no matter how much we don't like it. The other camp is china and its islamist buddies (ironically), and in the future, Russia, once they've taken over their whole economy (it's happening). They will never let pakistan collapse from its own incompetence. We can only hammer pakistan and choke it's economy through smart policies. But isolation of pakistan throughout the world is a pipe dream, as the world doesn't work based on the principles of truth or morality. We have to recognize this new world order, and do our part to be a big boy in our camp.

When the Chinese start exerting more influence ,clash is bound to happen

Doubt this. Russia is getting dependent on China and I do believe that like America, they will arm Pakis to counter us in the region in near future.

WAR :::::: the main aim is to destroy the enemy`s capacity ...... & with such a economy war is the last thing pakis can afford .

as being in gray list ............ no loans
the amt. of $$$$$$ loans they need ( per day ......... now i think, day is a very long period ... so per hour )

pakis will be in need of $$$$$$ per breath in ..... say .... 6 months

all these loans will never never never be paid back by pakis.

can or will Turkey give such loans to pakis ............. per hour

can or will Malaysia give such loans to pakis ...........per hour

can or will China give such loans to pakis ............. per hour

Russia is already living under China's shadows.
Pakistan was invited to SCO with India , China pressured Russia for it and Russia folded .

Su35 sold to china despite Chinese cloning su30 . S400 sold to china despite Chinese cloning previous Russian SAM.
Russia sold Pakistan mi35 and is trying to sell tanks now.

Chinese migration in Siberia is ever increasing.

Russian have accepted their fate as second fiddle to china because they hate USA .

Russia today and sputnik both have increasingly pro Chinese rhetoric and anti india vibe.

India must be now transactional in relationship with Russia .
