You mean there was a country called China 200 years back? I thought that each chinese empire a gave different "false" name to the country and only the CCP has made it "China" What do they teach you in school?

china is the english name of zhongguo/zhonghua 中国/中华 which means ' the nation in the middle' zhong means middle....guo means country/nation/stan........we cant control how westerners gonna name zhongguo/zhonghua in english language way........so if they think 'china' will do....then be it.

mainstream academic in china points out that the name zhongguo 中国 began to appeare around more than 2500 years ago in an ancient chinese poem collection《诗经》...

however offcial name of chinese kindom was a bunch of different dynasties like qin han tang dynasty....

the 1st chinese gov adopted the name zhongguo 中国 as the formal name of our nation was the republic of china (the power is in taiwan now) in 1912.......was KMT for ur info......not CPC who won the civil war and established PRC using zhongguo 中国 as the name that had been used for years..........

and pls.........if u dont know chinese history do not act like as if u could lecture us about any of it.

You live in corner of the world where its hard to get too. You have deserts in the west thats why no land army ever attacked you from the west, if you lived in an area as approachable as India you would all be muslims or christians by now. Also the sea route is very far off to reach you.

The British did not even come here to conquer us, they came to trade with the East India company, they where tradeing with the Mugal empire and as long as the Mugal empire was there the british stood their for nearly hundred years unnoticed just as traders, when the Mugal empire feel they took advantage. That could have happened to any country and we where unlucky. Learn history.

1 seems to me chinese and indians have different definition of what is trade and what is wars/occupation/colony........we r not againts any trade that can benifit china but we r against wars/occupation/colony towards us

2 a question.....do u think Mugal can represent india? anyway in china in the war against japan in ww2 in deed there were bunch of people surrenderred without fightting.....and even some cooperated with japanese and many of them were sent to courts after the war charged with treason etc....

I doubt that anyone outside of members of the CCP and admirers of totalitarianism would want China to become a dominant force in the world at present, and if push comes to shove; most countries worth listening to will start lobbying for a US intervention to counter-balance a growing communist threat. There is a good chance that a Second Cold War will emerge.
