F-22 is already a matured program.
F-35 is even more mature.
China is behind in avionics department (but there is still tons of different things provided in J-20 for situation awareness and all.)
It's interesting to see how J-20 as a fighter grows.

F-35 is even more mature.

there's high chance J20 will be deployed on carriers, it's possibly it'll meet F35 on the sea. but F22 can not be deployed on carriers.

this is not surprising at all. the more technologically challenging it is, the more accidentally prone. you can check its crash records. it is also a fact. and it's a single engine jet with limited speed and range if they operate on carriers. its sheer numbers and avionics are probably the only advantages over J20.

Look at the degree of movement of the all-moving vertical tail fin.

I think to give J-20 maneuverability they gave front fins. Which decrease it's frontal stealth but because of maneuverability with WS-15 J-20 will be able to take on dog fights.

American single engine is much better than any Russian or Chinese engine F-16 are flying with single engines for decades now and guess what there crash rate is lower than Russian one's.
Russian engines IIRC, Al31 HPT blades have single pass internal cooli g channels. While western scb have multipass.
This was the reason why india chose American F-404 in 90s for tejas.

Single engine jets requires lesser maintenance cheaper to fly. F-35 engine creates quality 28,000 lbf (128 kN) military thrust,
43,000 lbf (191 kN) with afterburner

Chinese and Russia is still 15 years away from creating such a reliable engine and powerful.
