Father showing right patch to his son for throwing stones at security forces. This boy could have one day picked up gun and have died in an encounter, but hats off this father who saved his son for being a "martyr" for others.

Left/feminists will say that all fathers are cruel....

Hurriyat will say that army has recorded this video at gun point and army should go back and leave kashmir to its people

I am happy to see someone understanding the meaning of kadi ninda.

This may not be your first post on this direction, but the first one I've noticed.

Will try to keenly read your posts from now onwards.....
kadi ninda is for losers. looking at the success of Op All Out and Naxalite operations, Rajnath Singh has been the best Home Minister for India in the 21st century. the only thing holding him back in Kashmir is the PDP alliance.

Naxalites r still thriving. They blowup security and road construction vehicles at their will. We still dont know who is mastermid or leader for this naxalites.money and ammunition supply to naxals not halted. Remember this anti naxal operations r started more than a decade back.countless lives lost in this war

Good point. The Instruments Research & Development Establishment (IRDE) and Defence Electronics Application Laboratory (DEAL) are on it already. Hope they produce these sensors incorporating advanced AI at the earliest.
Good to hear that! I often think, Army should tell more about their experiences in Engineering Colleges/Science Colleges, throw students a challenge on how to tackle a situation technically ! Believe me me you will enough motivated students to come up with brilliant solutions. Which with the help of knowledgeable retired Army men/Scientists could be productionised and bought into action!

Getting rid of naxals is next to impossible.
Reason of urban naxals , they won't pick up the gun but they will motivate the uneducated tribals to fight.
In terms of funding two ways by collecting money from communist sympathizers like students, bussiness owners overseas funding and the other by extortion, drug trade etc.

No doubt that Maowaadi are far from finished, the recent loss of our brave men in Chhattisgarh is a proof of the fact that. But it is also true that their influence has shrunk drastically from what it used to be. At one point they had become so powerful that they even targeted the then Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu's convoy near Tirupati with landmines.

Dantewada is the heart of their operations much like how Mullaitheevu was for LTTE. The area is made up of dense, forests that are impenetrable during the monsoons. As the SFs begin to squeeze naxal infleunce and force them deeper and deeper into their heartland, such incidents are likely to increase. It was not very dissimilar with LTTE, when SLA moved in to squeeze LTTE into an even diminishing area, they took heavy casualties, because LTTE fought back with everything to avoid annihilation and using civvies as human shields. The difference is unlike SLA we do not consider the entrapped civilians as cannon fodder, so we'll move in slowly and cautiously, thereby prolonging the naxal life span.

Till 4-5 years ago, IED attacks on SF convoys and even public highways were far more frequent, not only in Chhattisgarh, but also Jharkhand, Mharashtra, Odisha and Telangana.

Urban Naxals are another matter of concern.

They're already on it!

The Army has been reaching out to the students for engineering and research solutions that will translate into something comprehensive. The Research Innovation and Technology (IMPRINT) programme launched in November 2015 is the first-of-its-kind Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) supported pan-IIT and IISc joint initiative to address the major science and engineering challenges including projects for the Army. Nearly 70 IMPRINT projects are aligned with the needs of the Army.

Many IIT/IISc students have entered the startup innovation environ to produce cutting edge tech solutions for the defence forces. For example:

NETRA

The Navi Mumbai-based startup is the brainchild of three IITians. It offers services only to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and paramilitary and security forces. Their clients include National Security Guard, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, National Disaster Response Force and Delhi Police.

NETRA, which is the flagship product of ideaForge, has been developed by the company in collaboration DRDO, Ministry of Defense, India. It is a man-portable unmanned aerial vehicle which can be launched from a small clearing by the roadside and made to fly over the area of interest up to a height of 400 meters. It is capable of sending continuous real time video of every movement on ground of people, vehicles or any movement without anybody knowing that they are being seen.

AADYAH

Another project by fresh-out-of-university students, AADYAH manufactures and develops electronic mechanical actuators, control actuation systems, and electronic optics systems for missiles and launch vehicles. The startup also runs a centre for excellence in design, engineering, integration and testing to develop mission-critical aerospace and defense systems.

CRON

Another College startup, founded with a vision of pushing the borders with IoT, CRON Systems is developing state-of-the-art Intrusion detection systems. These systems developed by the startup implement the latest IoT technologies and designs at a fraction of the costs of other leading products in that space.

CRON is focused on deploying cutting edge solutions for border security. The company has already bagged orders from the Border Security Force and the Indian Army to install its products to secure the international borders.

Aurora Integrated Systems

Supported and funded by the TATA group, this startup of seven graduates from IIT Kanpur is into developing indigenous technology, manufacturing and integrating state-of-the-art airborne systems with a focus on small Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).

By tailoring its systems to meet requirements ranging from wartime operations to counter-terrorism and anti-insurgency operations, the startup aims to continue serving the needs of the Armed forces and Peace Keeping forces.

There are scores of more such innovations from these graduates who have researched and developed solutions while studying in colleges/universities.

However, the opposition parties as usual are up to their usual propaganda that the startup environment is a failure of the Modi government!! Lol!

Jungle Naxalism will vanish once development reaches those jungles.

Next phase is hyper-activist naxalism in those areas.

:hail: This is the reason naxals often attack road construction sites and crpf convoys protecting developmental projects. I remember they once burnt the road building equipment too. Now thousands of mobile towers are also being sanctioned. Sooner they will run out of land. But the urban form of naxalism is bound to remain and it had morphed into a many heads snake. Hardik, Jignesh, Kejrival etc are its new heads.

Sir Great! Another rough analogy -as Army doesnt recruits its soldiers from Gold's Gym, similarly Army should look for rope in as many eng colleges as much possible and not restrict themselves to just few top tiers. Create Hackathons state wise, this will really bring in new ideas for Army as well as local engineering talent will get something interesting to work on-rather than usual getting Java/.net/Hadoop certificates during their industrial training period

Wow Kejrival an Urban Naxal. Others maybe or to an extent they have naxal thoughts. But wow Kejrival? Are u serious?
He is the CM of Delhi. I have never heard of something he did bad to his people. From what i known he is doing everything of his power to help the people of Delhi. He is performing far better that the congress gov of Sheela.

He is a major opposition for BJP, but a Naxal? Thats wrong and misinformed.
