Test conducted from G-3, I guess IA will now insist on a new set of new and improved (lighter, faster, gold plated ) prototypes which will have to go through summer/winter/high/low/space trails all whilst Israelis and others lobby for that imported towed 155/52 deal.

DAC cleared 150 LSP but that’s seems like it is a pipe dream, won’t be placed for many many years to come.

For decades they have used DRDO as scapegoat to justify their love of imports, today they stand exposed for the corrupt traitors they are.



strange times. India could easily be self reliant in defence products in 95% areas within the next 5 years if Indian projects are allowed to see light of day but a despicable MoD-service-import Lobby nexus is effectively sabotaging this to the point that a new generation of imports are on the cards for absolutely no reason.

I don't see anything wrong with what @abingdonboy has said infact I totally agree with him.

Most of the people here including me love our armed forces a lot but that doesn't mean we are blind either.

ATAGS has been undergoing trials for a long long time.
The product might not be perfect yet but it is already good enough to fulfill our needs even a blind man can see that lobby here is in full place.

ATAGS can receive order upto 1000 infact more that so it's obvious that foreign companies want a part of it.

Why is that I never see such rigorous trials for foreign maal ever.

Don't say they are already tested.Time has shown again and again that our climate conditions are able to break the toughest weapons and guns so why not such lengthy tests for them.

ATAGS is an excellent gun something which we must be proud of but the army is doing everything possible to delay it. An excellent gun which rivals the best out there, aur kya chahiye.

What is the fault of DRDO they have come with excellent ideas and inventions time and time again only to be ridiculed by the army.

He is not wrong at all ofcourse there is corruption in the army.

Heck remember the Arjun and t-90 trials the army had sabotaged the tank so many times that poor DRDO was forced to install a black box.

The German company which supplied the engines for the tank found out after evaluation that they have been tinkered with due to which the tank failed the pokhran and Mahajan field range.

The army even saotaged the renek sub system but when they did that they couldn't blame DRDO for it since it was not theirs so the Renek officials came and found out even their systems were tampered with.

How fast are these machines inducted after roll off and have we really made 51 of them already. Weren't 20 made outside India and the rest 80 made in india.how much of the parts are manufactured in india to prevent embargoing and also are there going to be follow on orders for more to fill our mobile artillery for mechanised forces.

You seemed to be in a rush. Let the induction go at it’s normal pace then the soldiers will understand the technology and its operation better.

Let see if L&T in the future can convert the imported know how into something of their own design

they can if given proper support by DRDO May be one of the variants of frcv.

Having these K9s are good but after this order army should look for the indigenous solutions as we have all the ingredients for this especially arjun,ATAGS ,get things rolling for now with 100 K9s but IBGs would only be possible if we have more than 500 of SPG artillery ,will push enemy deep in their own territory

according to this guy, CCS approval only thing required to build ATAGs.
