Coming from a Chinese poster, I think we night as well accept that BOC is right and there is some hanky panky with the CCP and the Chinese Communist Govt to pin the BOC down.

Why so, the Chinese posters are not ready to tell us.

Closed society and very draconian and dire results await those who stray off line!

what is the proper legal and proper channel for common people in PRC to apply for immigrant investor schemes or buying property overseas ... what is "money-laundering" ...

China buys $22bn worth of US homes, leads global pack — RT Business

Chinese buyers, looking for their own piece of the 'American Dream,' paid on average $523,148 per property. By comparison, Americans paid an average price of $199,575, according to NAR's statistics.
there is some mention about increasing the limit from USD50,000 to more in one of the above posts ... also what about all the students that go study in ivy school in USA their expenditure must be crossing USD50,000 + for many especially the "princelings" like bo xilai son.

hence the CCTV "attack".

added later*****

Before his ouster, Bo Xilai had an official annual salary of less than $20,000. But his son attended Harrow School, an exclusive private academy in London with annual fees of about $48,000; then Oxford, which, for overseas students, costs more than $25,000 a year just in tuition; and the Kennedy School, which, according to its own estimates, requires about $70,000 a year to cover tuition and living expenses.
The Wall Street Journal reported that he is living at a luxury apartment which costs about $2590/month in Cambridge, Massachusetts that has a 24-hour concierge service and a sun deck. He is also reported to drive a $80,000 black Porsche sports car, having collected violations for running stop signs in December 2010 and May 2011, and for speeding in February 2012
did bo xilai transfer funds to his son using the above scheme ... one could perhaps link "money-laundering" in that away.

I still do not understand the use of the words "Money-Laundering" and link it to immigrant investor schemes or buying property overseas. The money was being collected within PRC... "money-laundering" principles ought to be absolute.

What is the common people view in PRC on immigrant investor schemes or buying property overseas ... how is it actually done by common people in PRC. was this about "money-laundering" was this about immigrant investor schemes or buying property overseas

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...f-canadian-immigrant-program/article17269390/

A group of angry Chinese millionaires is threatening legal action against the Canadian government after Ottawa cancelled a popular immigration program that dashed the hopes of thousands of wealthy foreigners.

The immigrant investor program offered a way to buy entrance into Canada for people with a net worth of $1.6-million who were able to lend Ottawa $800,000 interest-free for five years. Citing its "limited economic benefit," the Conservative government said on Feb. 11 that it intends to kill the program, leaving behind the 65,000 people on an enormous backlog of applicants.
Rong Bing, a 47-year-old former investment banker, has gone without work since 2009 as he waited to move to Canada, hoping that any month would bring positive news. It never came. He offers an unusually poignant argument for coming to Canada. The 1989 student protests that led to the Tiananmen massacre instilled a yearning for Western democracy and human rights that, even decades later, has lodged itself "in our hearts deeply," he said. What he wants most is more of that.

"We are all rich businessmen. We have a rather reasonable life in China," he said. They have the money to buy good health care and imported food. "So that is not all our pursuit for immigration," he said. "I know Canada is a country full of freedom, justice and friendliness. That spirit is the real reason why we want to immigrate to Canada."

U don't have to get worked up like this. Hammers or tongs whatever - the case up to the moment is --
* CCTV makes an laundering accusation of BoC
* BoC defends its operations are in compliance

It's up to readers for analysis or search for more info to formulate their own opinions.

As for your long write-up such as "propaganda and anti Chinese blather" - Did I accuse u of "anti Chinese" or "blather" whatsoever?

That is what Mr Ray is doing .... it is chinese that are crying all along the thread. Your Chinese CCP master do not tolerate free speech and Chinese who are habituated to those oppression also behave in the similar way ....... no wonder.

When it comes to corruption China and India are the same, But I expect China have more corruption than India since there is no opposition for CCP in China.

China is a country where communist one party leaders and officials are next to GODs and are obeyed with out reasoning and logic.
