7 persons of Pak origin arrested in Birmingham for terror charges

LONDON -- British police say a seventh man of Pakistani origin has been arrested in a counter terrorism operation that began earlier this week.

West Midlands Police said Thursday the 20-year-old was detained in the central England city of Birmingham, on suspicion of "the commission, preparation or instigation" of a terrorism act.

Six other men, aged 25 to 32, were arrested Monday in the same city. Officials said the arrests related to Islamic extremism and were one of the year's most significant anti-terror operations.

Police said they had been given until midnight Sunday to charge the men, release them or apply for a further extension.

Terrorist suspects can be held for up to 14 days before they must be charged or released

The UK agencies have been vigilant since the terror breeding inside mosques have been unveiled by tabloids.

Its good for other Asian societies too.

They also need to keep a check on some north African nationals , especially from Sudans and Ethiopia which have a higher number there.

yes you are right but all these people from Somalia or Sudan are provoked by Pakistani mullahs in UK Mosques ..

Nope they have their own set of mullahs... and are confined mostly in non asian majority cities and towns.. And they look more scary too.
