Yes, but Baloch are largely Sunni too. However, the Baki deep state has been employing LeJ as a front line weapon against the belligerent Baloch for a while now.

Also this attack was on a police academy, NOT TSPA garrison or base. Since LeJ founder was killed in a fake encounter, this maybe viewed as a revenge attack. But the encounter was in Punjab.

The recruits being asked to return and stay suggests that their were being set up as Bakrid goat.

The only one to benefit out of this is TSPA- RawHeel may get the extension he's craving for, civvies will cede even more authority and TSPA will unleash more atrocities in Baloch men and women in the name of saving Baloch from attacks like these.

I hope something happens that makes China angry of Pakistan. India must drive a wedge between their 'special relationship'.

That's next to impossible! China needs Pakistan desperately to counter India and slowly but surely make it into its autonomous region as there are a trillion dollars worth of resources to be had in Balochistan and of course the CPEC that will allow logistics support to its upcoming naval base at Gwadar.

This is of extreme national interest as a base at Gwadar would allow the Chinese to dominate the Strait of Hormuz leading to the Gulf as well as the IOR and Arabian Sea where the American 5th fleet is stationed at present.

Thus, the stakes are too high for China. It will never ditch Pakistan.
