No. This is not how it works. A plane's engine, aerodynamics & frame design does NOT undergo change. Only avionics and the electronics does. The F-16 block A & block F have the exact same airframe, aerodynamic capacity and engine.
A plane is designed first and foremost with the engine in mind. This is why except for minor changes, no plane has ever swapped out engines for another engine model - you do that and your entire planes balance, c.o.g and t.w.r are affected.

No, i can see that the J-10 is clone of the Lavi. Rafale wasnt even in prototype production in the 80s. It only had ONE plane built by 1990 as a tech demonstrator, with its design not frozen till 1988.

Rafale first flew in 1986. At the time France and China had good relation and China was actively pursuing Western tech and designs.

Except France didnt transfer tech to China. Israel did, as my citation shows. You already admitted that the J-10 'early' design is based on the Lavi. Since there is no such thing as modifying the design of airframe/engine in later designs on any fighter jet ever, it means J10 is based on the Lavi.

In the 1970s, Israel used Mirage III and F-4.

No. Lavi's design is earlier than Rafale's, its design got frozen before the Rafale even had its first test flight.
There is no Rafale involved in the J10. None, nada, zip.

They consulted Dassault you mean. Rafale is the plane, Dassault is the manufacturer. And no, Israel didn't consult Dassault. The entire reason Israel built the Lavi is because its Mirage deal got embargoed by France. One doesn't prevent you from buying one's product only to help you develop your own by giving info of the product one isnt gonna sell you. Thats literally retarded. Stop making things up. Lavi is not a Rafale & F16 cross, it can't be a cross of something its older in development from.

Mirage III was popular in Israel in the early 70s. Israel consulted Dassault for Lavi design. Rafale was developed since the late 70s and first flew in 1986.

Rafale flew in July 1986. Lavi flew in December 1986. Lavi drew design from Rafale which is earlier.

Embargo does not forbid designs. J-20 has many aspects of F-35 such as DSI, EOTS turret.
