11 carriers can be sunk with 11 anti-ship cruise missiles or anti-ship ballistic missiles.
In this picture alone, the 16 Chinese DF-21D ASBMs can sink all 11 US carriers.
CIWS is useless against ASBMs for three reasons.I'd like to introduce you to this cool new thing called CIWS.

You do realise that Americans move in carrier groups, not just a single carrier. In Syria, Chinese missile sensors on the Chinese FN-6 MANPADS have shot down many helicopters.
In the following video, you can see with your own eyes as China's HQ-9 SAMs shoot down a fast-flying drone twice.
Since helicopters and aircraft drones fly many times faster than a slow-moving ship, the Chinese DF-21D ASBM should have an easy time hitting a naval capital ship (because a 1,000-feet long carrier or destroyer is a much larger target than a helicopter or drone).
You do realize China has a lot more than 16 DF-21D ASBMs?You do realise that Americans move in carrier groups, not just a single carrier.
You do realise, us has lot more in armour than china any silly move from China will start a offensive reaction from usaYou do realize China has a lot more than 16 DF-21D ASBMs?
The US has 11 carriers and about 80 Arleigh Burkes and Ticonderogas. That means China only needs about 91 DF-21D ASBMs.
What's easier to build? A 1,000-feet US carrier or destroyer OR a 35-feet Chinese DF-21D ASBM?

When roadside thugs gets into power they take themsevles as "Invincible" before others kick them out.Typical Chinese, an obnoxious ignoramus. The decision is not a mere opinion as it is a binding ruling under the settlement mechanism of UNCLOS which China is a part of (Did your country pulled out of UNCLOS? No? So it is bound by it). Go read first before you start typing comments here. Your ignorant rants is an insult to the intelligence of the members of this forum.
China's four J-20 LRIP stealth fighters can easily sink any Indian ship that trespass into the South China Sea.India pledges to keep peace in South China Sea
PORT KLANG: An Indian navy commander has pledged to come to the aid of other countries in case of hostilities in the South China Sea.
Rear Admiral S V Bhokare, commander of India’s Eastern Fleet, said: “We want peace. We want to help other countries if they are in trouble. But if any countries want our help in maritime security and humanitarian relief, we will come forward.”
Adm Bhokare’s remarks were made while on a four-day port call here with a squadron of a guided-missile stealth frigate, Sahyadri and the guided missile corvette Kirch, as well as fleet tanker and support ship Shakti.
The three ships, and the frigate Satpura, are on their way home after taking part in the annual Malabar war games with the US and Japanese navies in the Pacific Ocean.
Asked about the rising tensions in South China Sea arising from China’s maritime claims over the region, he said: “India is ready. When our ships sail out, it means we are ready to attack anyone who attacks us,” he replied.

Shooting off India's shoulders? Or is this the case of an IN commander going beyond his brief?
