I can count 16, why you missed 4 ?
You're right. I'm tired. It's 5:30 AM here.

11 carriers can be sunk with 11 anti-ship cruise missiles or anti-ship ballistic missiles.

In this picture alone, the 16 Chinese DF-21D ASBMs can sink all 11 US carriers.

CIWS is useless against ASBMs for three reasons.

CIWS has a very short range of 2.2 miles. A Mach 10 DF-21D can cover 2.2 miles in one second. In other words, the ASBM will slam into the ship regardless of whether it's hit by the CIWS or not.

A CIWS cannot aim straight up.

A CIWS has no time to aim at a Mach 10 incoming warhead. The mechanical gears on a CIWS take too long to obtain a precise aim at a Mach 10 object.

In Syria, Chinese missile sensors on the Chinese FN-6 MANPADS have shot down many helicopters.

In the following video, you can see with your own eyes as China's HQ-9 SAMs shoot down a fast-flying drone twice.

Since helicopters and aircraft drones fly many times faster than a slow-moving ship, the Chinese DF-21D ASBM should have an easy time hitting a naval capital ship (because a 1,000-feet long carrier or destroyer is a much larger target than a helicopter or drone).

You do realise that Americans move in carrier groups, not just a single carrier.

You do realize China has a lot more than 16 DF-21D ASBMs?

The US has 11 carriers and about 80 Arleigh Burkes and Ticonderogas. That means China only needs about 91 DF-21D ASBMs.

What's easier to build? A 1,000-feet US carrier or destroyer OR a 35-feet Chinese DF-21D ASBM?

Here is a different group of 16 DF-26 IRBMs, which have a range of 2,000 miles.

The seeker on the DF-21D ASBM can be used on the DF-26 to hunt for capital ships.

The DF-26 is 46 feet long. However, it is far smaller than a 1,000-feet US carrier or destroyer. For the same price as a US carrier, China can build about 100 DF-26 IRBMs.

Is there any US-China war going to happen in real? I mean using weapons as above?

US has a habit of wrecking havoc using economy/civil wars and Chinese economy is build on exports.

The new age war between big powers is not so direct.Seems like China has become arrogant just after a decade of economic boom and can't digest it.

I guess.. China is doing what Pakistan does.. 1 paki = how many soldiers blah blah.. Now on a serious note, you may downplay US or treat the their petrol like bullying.. but are you really thinking launching those missiles at them.. or their battle group.. I guess you are high on dope.. When did the last time China launched missiles in a real war? or actually fight one? compare that to US.. also ur talking abt disturbing a hornets nest.. you do not want to disturb that..

chinise are all hot talk nothing else. they are paid 50 cents by CCP to post nonsense propaganda. even before chinise missiles fly, they will be reduced by US ICBM and SLBM, followed by cruise missiles. china is new to shit US been doing for decades. everytime a US warship is in SCS, china cries like a baby. china is a rouge nation like pakistan. both will die a slow painful death.

Typical Chinese, an obnoxious ignoramus. The decision is not a mere opinion as it is a binding ruling under the settlement mechanism of UNCLOS which China is a part of (Did your country pulled out of UNCLOS? No? So it is bound by it). Go read first before you start typing comments here. Your ignorant rants is an insult to the intelligence of the members of this forum.
When roadside thugs gets into power they take themsevles as "Invincible" before others kick them out.

China has received a defeat and it's not easy for it to digest it, hence all Dadagiri and threats.

A mere glance at the sea makes it clear that Philippines has true rights over the sea.

India pledges to keep peace in South China Sea

PORT KLANG: An Indian navy commander has pledged to come to the aid of other countries in case of hostilities in the South China Sea.

Rear Admiral S V Bhokare, commander of India’s Eastern Fleet, said: “We want peace. We want to help other countries if they are in trouble. But if any countries want our help in maritime security and humanitarian relief, we will come forward.

Adm Bhokare’s remarks were made while on a four-day port call here with a squadron of a guided-missile stealth frigate, Sahyadri and the guided missile corvette Kirch, as well as fleet tanker and support ship Shakti.

The three ships, and the frigate Satpura, are on their way home after taking part in the annual Malabar war games with the US and Japanese navies in the Pacific Ocean.

Asked about the rising tensions in South China Sea arising from China’s maritime claims over the region, he said: “India is ready. When our ships sail out, it means we are ready to attack anyone who attacks us,” o_O he replied.

Shooting off India's shoulders? Or is this the case of an IN commander going beyond his brief?

China's four J-20 LRIP stealth fighters can easily sink any Indian ship that trespass into the South China Sea.

India has no ability to detect a stealth fighter.
